Here's the official one for comparison.

Interested in seeing how big of a role Han Solo will play in Star Wars VII. Guessing he will be the one to lead Rey and Finn into the Rebel Alliance, and introduce them to Leia, Chewy and Skywalker so they can form a plan to counter the Empire's uprising.
I have a feeling Han will take on for the team.... but don`t quote me on that.

Oh man, I hope that doesn't happen. I know he always wanted that (Harrison Ford). We'll find out soon enough.

Is it just me or are we still missing the official poster for this?
The PT poster were amazing even though the films weren't.

C3PO and R2D2 thankfully return. Now hopefully Yoda appears in voice or Obi Wan Kenobi are hinted at in the VII.

Abrams mentioned the film is in the final editing stages, so it's on schedule for it's release date.

Look at these Trading cards each one has symbols on them:

Look at Finn he doesn't have a Jedi symbol on his card, But Rey does have it, and that could mean she is a Jedi not Finn, and Look at Kylo Ren his card has a Sith symbol, but J.J said Ren is not a Sith...hmmm. I think we may have another Kahn issue here, and also that would mean that scene with Finn and the blue lightsaber could only mean that Finn was just defending himself with it.

And if we look at this article on Episode 8 Skellig Michael set they said that Daisy Ridleys character was filming a fighting scene where she was swinging Lightsabers around, and then there was another fight scene... Now could this be Luke Training Rey????

To be fair, Kylo was confirmed not to be a Sith but a member of The Knights of Ren. How else will they indicate him being a bad guy without revealing his true identity?

I watched ROTJ last week was feeling kind of bummed that Yoda won't be in any more Star Wars films, then I realized that he's really the only character they'll have no problem seamlessly bringing back as a force ghost. I hope he makes an appearance in the new trilogy. Maybe he helped guide Luke toward becoming a Jedi Master.

It's very apparent, especially after Disney breezed past TFA during D23 and after Force Friday went over with more of a whimper than a roar that Disney isn't putting all of its SW eggs into this basket. Sure, October is plenty of time to market the movie, but something is VERY strange and Disney is acting submissive about it. Even the merchandise displays for Force Friday were void of the words "The Force Awakens" until you actually look at some of the merchandise itself.

It's frightening and a little disheartening to think that they aren't pushing a bit more. I know they don't want to over-saturate and I understand that. However, we're heading up to the end of September and got through D23 and Force Friday with nary any attention paid to the movie coming out in December. Either they are planning to go crazy starting next month (haven't heard any indication of it) or they're playing it coy, hoping that the story will sell the movie on good word of mouth. Problem with that is that they haven't talked about the story at all yet (except for those of us who care enough to pay attention to spoilers).

I found it interesting that at D23 they had footage/trailers/teasers for four movies coming out next year and, when they got to SW, they went right to Iger talking about the parks. Even if the picture they showed was a new planet in TFA, they never said it. It's as if they are dismissing it. The movie will come out as planned. But I don't think the movie will be even as big as Age of Ultron and may actually fail to or just make $400 million in the US.

It's probably because it's ****ing Star Wars and they don't need 5 trailers, 20 international trailers and 50 TV spots to sell the bloody thing. If you don't know there's a new Star Wars film at this moment in time, then you're not really bothered about a new Star Wars film.

Wow-didn't realize that was such a sensitive topic. Hate to say it, but SW is not immune to marketing. Just the fact that people may know there's one coming doesn't mean there's tons of excitement for it.

True. They need to know it is not a repeat of the prequels, or at least believe it is not a repeat. If they think this will actually be good, then they will see it. They need to market it to make people believe it will be great.

Totally agreed. I do understand a lot of fans who are automatically in love with SW don't need a whole lot of prodding. That is exactly my point though. Disney is not just counting on these fans. They want to restart the excitement for the entire thing. I think Force Friday was a smart thing overall. They put out a new wave of merchandise, had some new characters posted on them, but marketed it as SW in general.

But they have to go further. They have to have a WOW factor to get others interested. People who never knew about or cared about SW won't make much of a difference. People who have always loved it will see it multiple times anyway. But the folks who have a bitter taste due to the prequels will need some special coaxing. Maybe JJ is making sure the trailer will be absolutely amazing and is editing it endlessly before releasing it. I'd be fine with that. Marketing it as the first SW movie in 10 years is not the way to go. Marketing it as the continuation of the OT is definitely the way to go. I just haven't seen any evidence yet that they're doing either so it's puzzling. But that's just as of now. I'm sure that will change in 2-3 weeks when the trailer hits.

I don't give a flying f**k about anything JJ says. The guy's a liar and the king of misinformation.

If anyone here believes anything JJ says, please PM me about a bridge I'd like to sell you. Here's a pic of the bridge.

Trust me, Disney knows what they're doing. People of the world are very well aware that a new Star Wars movie is being released in three months. They don't need an oversaturation of it. As far as I'm concerned, the less marketing the better. I don't need to be over-hyped and have high expectations leaving the theater disappointed.

Harrison Ford alone has me excited for this, although I am fully expecting him not to survive the movie.
