hit light lvl 279 last night. trying to get to 290 before i attempt a raid.

telesto is my new favorite weapon. its awesome on taken as well as pvp.

you dont even have to hit them, just hit the wall behind them and they still die

Lol, well, most of us have 100+ in the vault. You can ditch anything not useful in PVP, no need for them anymore, that might free up some?

any exotic you break down gives a shard. even if xur were selling exotic shards, you'd probably be better off using the 7 strange coins on a stack of 'threes of coins' to get new 290 exotics (assuming those return this weekend after last weekends debacle).

Believe me, it's tough staying away, except for one thing. My internet service. Between constantly getting kicked, the lag and inconsistent chat, it was a huge frustration. And it was not good for anyone else, either. And my current service is worse now, than it was a year ago.

There is a chance that within the next three or four weeks, the new fiber network will be installed at my actual house. I will believe it when I see it...three years late. But I will strongly consider jumping back in then. I never deleted my Guardians. And if I did get back in, I would probably feel inclined to go through some of the stuff between CE and now, just to see it. I also will have to keep it under control, because I can't be playing Destiny until 3 in the morning and getting up at 5:30 on work days.

Yeah I did it with duplicates. I had like 600 strange coins spread out of my characters so I bought a couple of the helm engrams and then infused them with my 200 and 220 gear to jump my light level up. I also ended up getting some duplicates when using the three of coins or whatever its called. If you have a crap-load of coins and are at a low light level and have no legendary marks its a good way to to jump up your light level. In my case I had to catch up with my friends who were at like 260 at the time I was at 234 so spending the coins was way more convenient for me then legendary marks or grinding for higher light level armor. Knocking it up a few also gave me better drops from the cryptarch.

its totally not addictive at all, I get a full night of sleep every night... there's so little to do with the expansion, I even call it quits early most nights...

Yea, I'm still new so I don't have 100+ of anything well except glimmer.

Do the exotics need to be fully upgraded to get a shard? I did buy a set of the Three of Coins but I've not used it as my character is only 250 light right now.

I was hanging on to the year one exotics that got carried over into year two but I have not figured out how that works yet. Going to look on youtube and see if there are some videos on what I need to do.

you get 1 shard regardless of upgrades. if you had already fully upgraded (put an exotic shard into it), I believe you get two.
you can use your threes of coins now because the exotic engrams you get will be 290 regardless of your current level (unless you are over 300 light). equipping those should boost your light level up quite a bit so in turn, all your other engrams are more powerful.

I spent 16 coins and only got 2 engrams doing hat this weekend. Gonna try the gate lord and see is he's a little more loose.

I spent about 30 coins of 3 and have around 20 exotics including the one I really wanted The Jade Rabbit
