Blu Ray Reviews? - Blu-ray Forum

I was wondering who does the Blu Ray Reviews on this site?
Is it someone very experienced with DVD's/Blu's and their PQ, AQ and such? (Basically a Critic) or just an average joe?

I was curious when I was looking through them, and how they base the whole PQ, AQ, The actual movie only cause I was looking for the movie with the BEST PQ that I owned to do my calibration on, since I don't own DVE. I tried to do a calibration last night, and then realized that I was doing it on a movie that's rating was a 3 on this site.

Oh as well, when they base their reviews, what type of TV are they using and which blu ray player?

Do you have Ratatouille? That has calibration/setup content included as supplementary material.

I can't speak for the other reviewers, but I have been authoring articles for about 20 yrs for various publications and have been involved in A/V since about '96 (mostly reviewing audio gear/recordings prior to my involvement here). Several reviewers are contributing to blu-ray.com--not just one.

Why not create a About Me page for each reviewer, or a meet the reviewers. Maybe list their setups that they use and some other little stuff. I checked out beatboy77's reviews and they all list their setups, which is interesting

@ADRiiAN...about your sig...what is with the "Top That" because you are 18. No one is in competition with anyone...Listing what equipment we own and how many Blu-Rays we have is just for fun. I don't honestly think it is taken that seriously...But anyway I suppose I Top your sig...I'm 17
