R6V literally got me off COD4, Gears of War extreme dedication to those games not to mention some of the best games of the last decade if the foundation of where we are today they were so good... SO that really does say something about just how great the R6V series was to draw in teams and play terrorist hunt, campaign etc.
I know the quick counter to anything negative about this game will be "well you need a team you need a team"
My thoughts:
- Gameplay: R6 Vegas always had a learning curve at it was much different then most shooters but this gameplay is beyond bad, and is just downright awkward like it doesn't even make me want to try to hone my abilities.
- Layout: Selecting weapons appears to be overly tedious hopefully it changes back to a more Vegas style setup list than what we see in this beta so this could drastically change
- Graphics: If it looked like killzone you can overlook how bad they ruined their game, but it really does look like New Vegas with some current gen polish. Odd considering they have the Division engine they could be using which looks amazing which if you just reskinned that and ran it like Vegas it could be amazing... Instead I'm just like
Bottom line: Friends make any game fun... Hell even Raccoon City which was probably the most awful game I've ever played I had fun with because I had multiple friends playing with me. So this excuse to me really is just a cop-out because any game can be fun when you've got your buddies with you.
I'd seriously advise people to avoid this game unless you are 1000% sure you'll have friends on it for the long haul.

The lobby/match connectivity and gun selection menu(HORRIBLE) that you mentioned are substantive issues, no doubt. However, I've been playing it a ton, and literally NO ONE out of hundreds has said anything but how they love the gameplay. They've w/o exception stated how they CANT WAIT for the finished product. Keep in mind, these are ALL former RB62 players like myself. If they don't make major improvements in those areas, they'll have some frustrated fans to be sure. But there'll be no shortage of players, believe me. I think you'll find yourself in the small minority, but to each his own. My main compliant is that the optics for the weapons need a lot of changing. Some of them(while true to life/realistic) are too occlusive, defeating the purpose.
