Help! $600 to spend!

I believe most people will agree with me when I say this, do not buy a HTIB system. Your best bet is to either buy a new receiver and eventually get nicer speakers, or to buy new speakers and eventually get a new receiver. To be honest however, either route you go you might not be happy with the results because you would either be running ok speakers through a nice receiver or decent speakers through a not so good receiver. Unfortunately speakers that are decent are expensive. I would wait until you have enough money where you can go out and kill two birds with one stone, so that way it is considerably better and you don't feel like you have wasted money. Good Luck.
