I believe the Weinstein Company edition of "Lonesome Dove" is now OOP and a new version sans most of the special features is being released by Mill Creek. The Fox release of the Kurt Russell starrer, "Dark Blue" is also OOP and being reissued by Olive Films.

Looks like Lonesome Dove is still in print, but I added the MGM release of Dark Blue.

I ordered it today from Amazon and looks like it is out of print since it is only from 3rd party sellers

Amazon is the last place that should be used to judge what is in or out of print. They are constantly trying to screw over distributors and will refuse to carry or will pull items while a dispute is going on. This is still available everywhere else I checked, so while it may be going oop, Amazon as usual is more than likely screwing with people. Further proof of this can be seen with the film "We are Still here". This was released on the 9th and had a pre-order price of 9.99, now it's for Prime members only and is over $20... meanwhile it is still 9.99 everywhere else. Amazon has a history of this sort of thing (they even refused to Carry's Nintendo's Wii U and other products in the past at launch).

Just to be clear, you may be correct that this is OOP or going OOP, but Amazon is so goofy with some of their policies that it's hard to say for sure sometimes. I have been wanting to purchase this for a while, so I'll be watching closely myself so I do appreciate the heads up.

Cool, yeah, I tried to find it in stores but they have none available so I bought it off from Amazon for $10 from a 3rd party seller which I thought is a good price although, I just want Dr. Giggles, I have no interest in Otis

It's likely that many Sony BDs will get picked up by Mill Creek in cheaper editions.

Ugh, no, Mill Creek never adds English subtitles which I really need, I wish Mill Creek would go out of business

That's not true. Many of their releases do indeed contain English subs.

Strangely enough, both are run by HDGoofnut. Do you guys have something against him?
Just curious, because I find it very unfair that those threads aren't sticky (comparing to many unnecessary threads that actually are)

(I'm not playing tricks, this is a genuine question I'm asking to myself for several years now and I can't understand)
