Wow, Sonny Boy. That's the kind of announcement I like!

You can get Island of Terror on a region free BD from the UK. It's a pretty good release and is also uncut. I have reviewed the disc on this site.

Sonny Boy is great, and that's a nice cover.

And House Where Evil Dwells is totally fun nonsense.

Good announcements!

Muttering crabs and giggling ghosts! As a bonus, this movie contains one of the most awkward sex scenes ever filmed. I'm not familiar with Sonny Boy, but it sounds intriguing.

Sonny Boy!!! Fantastic announcement!!! House Where Evil Dwells is god-awful but who cares, we're finally getting Sonny Boy!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Rolling Vengeance and Enemy Territory now.

Any other Uni releases you guys are clamorin' for?
SSSSSSS (1973) starring Strother Martin is the Universal title I'm most clamoring for. Very underrated and terrific little film; firmly in Scream Factory's wheelhouse. I'm a little surprised they haven't announced it already.

Also, how about Tales from the Hood? I thought Universal had this one too.

Sucks they couldn't get the uncut version of Cherry Falls so I may have to skip it.

Likeliest Universal titles (at the moment, from what I gather, not previously released):
-Hitcher II / The Hitcher (2007)
-Raising Cain
-Serial Mom
-Slither
-Sssssss
-Terror Tract
-Village of the Damned

Tales from the Hood (and Tales from the Darkside the movie for the matter) are 2 of the most prominent "Grail" type titles that would do extremely well for Scream Factory and in theory could be gettable. Tales from the Hood is brought up a few times each year and we never seem to get any answer on it. Speculation has it placed in rights hell due to the music, but it certainly seems feasible that it will be released at some point. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I love that film.

Or any release period. As that footage is long lost.

Shout must really have an ace content acquisition team. They've had one of the best lineups of 2015!

I like Leonard Maltin's review of Sonny Boy

Quote:
Repulsive, socially unredeemable waste of celluloid detailing gruesome upbringing of abused 'sonny boy' who's kidnapped by wacko couple Smith and his 'wife' Carradine (who plays the role in full drag). Filmed for no apparent reason except to offend and appall.

Cherry Falls CE? sounds awesome. They really need to find the lost footage now or at least a workprint tape of the movie then put them in deleted scenes.

Sonny Boy and Ghost Warrior on BD at last? i enjoyed those since i rented them, Sonny Boy was a bizarre but yet different film that reminded me of Hills Have Eyes.

Anyone who liked those movies, throw away their bootlegs as those movies never had an official DVD or BD release.

Ghost Warrior got an official release. It was a MOD disc.
