I know no-one is forcing me to buy this disc, but I have waited to see this film for god knows how long, and I refused to pay their dvd prices. So now I get to pay their blu-ray prices.
damn sure better come in a gold plated bd case with silver hinges.

UPS Ground for a 4oz (including padded envelope) Blu-ray?! That's not just overkill, it's stupid. They could learn a thing for two from, well, anybody else who has ever shipped a movie at all.

Looking forward to this, but not gonna be gouged in order to get it.

The price for UPS shipping in itself is not absurd, as even the lowest weight UPS Ground package price (i.e. a single Blu-ray) starts at about $9.50 and increases based on location.

What *is* absurd is the lack of a USPS First Class mail option, which costs about $3 max for single Blu-ray when all is said and done.

I can see UPS being used for high value (i.e. over $100) as USPS has a higher rate of losing items than UPS, but for one Blu-ray it is ridiculous that UPS is the only option.


Unfortunately, this movie is so money I am inclined to pay up

Yeah, definitely gonna wait and see with this one. Coming from RM films, I could see this being botched or at the very least underwhelming.

Wow, so that's why that DVD was always expensive on Amazon. I thought it was OOP all those years. Anyway, never got it, but always meant to see this movie. It'll hurt the wallet, but this Blu-ray will be mine someday. I'll wait and see if it actually looks and sounds good, though, which it better for $40 before shipping.
