It looks too simple and then again where does the Empire get it's funding to keep on building massive Space Stations?

There could be some incredibly wealthy people involved in the new Empire? I don't know, but one could ask how they got all of the funds necessary to construct the Death Star in the first one as massive as it was. Let alone the second one. They must have bankrupted their entire populace. Either way it doesn't matter. It's a fun movie made to be fun. None of it really bears up to close scrutiny. It's pure fantasy and I love it for that.

That would take an entire fleet and precision drilling. It is the 'First Order' and not the old Empire.

They're the Empire who says they need to pay for anything. They didn't need to pay for materials as they most likely just confiscated anything that they needed and most of their labor force was slave labor.

End of ROTJ they lost their boss. By the Special Editions a few planets were happy and took down their Empire statues and signs. I can only assume some of the top Empire leaders try to take that top spot from Supreme Leader Snoke ( no relation to Snooki from that MTV show.) Ah, spoiler territory.

I agree, they used slave labor and stole from the poor.

I mean really. The discussion could go on and on about the "logic" of the SW universe, but really what is the point? It is a universe of pure unadulterated imagination. How the he*l does Coruscant work? How can there be planets that consist of only one type of environment and yet they all can keep life? Hoth? Who would ever live there? Tatooine? Same thing. I am really excited for this new film and can barely wait to see what Abrams and co have devised to take the story forward.

I ain't holding my breathe for anything interesting. It'll look great because everything Abrams does "looks" great.

I will say this about the film; with the advancements in technology, this will clearly be the best looking STAR WARS film by far and that's saying alot considering the look of REVENGE OF THE SITH and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Those films are stunners.

As with anything evil there will always be remnants leftover. Yes, they may have destroyed the second Death Star and defeated the Emperor, but surely there are still others left who hold on to the Empire's ideals and will make their presence known when the time is right. This new First Order is clearly the brainchild of individuals who maybe went underground after the fall of the first Empire, but have now come into the light and obviously found others to recruit to their cause. That's how it always is. It's like a hydra. You chop off one head, but eventually another two will grow to take its place.

The Emperor and Vader were defeated yes but the empire still remains. As with any Government system there is a chain of command. The Emperor was obviously at the top with Vader second in command (which is also questionable given him following the orders of Tarkin) but after that everyone else in charge was still spread around everywhere. It's not that hard to imagine others taking over the empire after their deaths and in fact was a large part of the legends story lines.
