Default Cool Movies yet to be announced.

I just wanted to through out there some movies I think should be announced soon. I also wanted to see if anyone here has heard any new news. Movies I want to know about are fight club, seven, scarface, platoon and thats it. There was rumors about wizard of oz and gone with the wind. Evidently we should hear something about the exorcist soon.

Cannot wait for The Last Star Fighter.

Also there is this indie film from the 80's called Empire Strikes Back that would be awesome on blu.

I really can't wait to see Scarface announced. Tony Montana would dominate on Blu.

Why? He didn't dominate, ever. The only reason this movie is so popular is because Trick Daddy et al talked about it on Mtv Cribs. Please refer to the thread regarding the overrated movies.

I'm surprised the Lucas hasn't released some special edition remastered star wars on BD. he usually doesn't pass up on a chance to make a quick buck with that franchise

Scarface is not overrated. Its one of Pacinos best performances.

I saw a trailer on another BD disc (A Bridge Too Far, I think) for Platoon in HD . So, I would guess its in the pipes.

And I'm pretty sure it was the studio itself that mentioned Wizard of Oz, and Gone with the Wind, will see released in '09.

What I most want to see are the David Lean classic epics (Lawrence of Arabia, Dr Zhivago, Bridge on the River Kwai) plus Zulu, and The Great Escape all get the BD treatment. I heard Zulu is getting an R2 release in November, that might just be one I have to import.

Next to that, all the big trilogies that don't have any release announced: Back to the Future, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, 1st 3 Aliens, LotR, American Pie/Wedding. WhereTF are those?!
