Mr Boogedy/Bride of Boogedy DMC Exclusive August 2015 - Blu-ray Forum

Read on a couple other sites that these gems are finally getting an official release through the Disney Movie Club. It's going to be a double feature released sometime in August of 2015.

Neither of them have had a DVD released before, only VHS to DVD bootlegs have been available (the quality of which is very low). I'm very excited about this and it will probably be the final push for me to join DMC. This will be my first DVD purchase in probably 5 years since I've switched entirely to blu rays.

I am sad that there isn't a blu release planned at the same time although that is likely a long shot of ever happening so this might be as good as it gets. You can stream the films on Amazon (which have only been available for about a year) but in only SD quality only which makes me think no HD masters exist.

That's awesome! I barely remember Bride of..., but I always loved Mr. Boogedy as a kid. We recorded it on VHS, so I watched it countless times growing up. Haven't seen it in many years now, so I'll definitely get this.

Has anybody had a chance to pick this up to see the quality? I heard both are on the same disc, fortunately they're rather short.

I'm sure it'll be a big improvement over the low quality VHS like rips circulating the web and faux DVDs using that transfer.

I was a little kid and saw both Mr Boogedy movies when they came on ABC back then when ABC had the Sunday night Disney tv movie thing going on.

Good times back then in the early 1980s

I'd get this but I don't want to sign up for a movie club for one DVD.

Not to mention the scalpers are having a field day with this one! Way to go, a******s!

Yeah, haven't gotten it yet. I looked at the DMC, but it sounded confusing as heck. I still have a ton of Disney Movie Rewards points built up, so if it ever becomes available through there (like Ducktales: The Movie years ago), I'll get it that way.

But a heads up: if you have Turner Classic Movies, I just saw that Mr. Boogedy is going to air this Thursday at 2AM.
