I thought the Ankylosaurs were enclosed but went through the gate that I-Rex broke open.

Unless your buying all three because you generally feel something bad will happen (like someone close to you will die etc), or similar, you are using the term poorly.

Usually simply try and ignore such posts but it is nice to see someone say something about them. Though I wouldn't call it an addiction in the clinical sense either.

All that has happened is the person has seen several different products they want and thus bought them. The ocd cycle just isn't there based on the persons description. Though i'm sure they didn't mean it literally.

Sorry, my semi rant is over as I did come here to ask a question, are the black bars meant to be far smaller then usual? On my copy (3d blu-ray) they seem to be somewhere between a normal scope film and 1.85:1. At first I thought I had somehow enabled zoom somehow by mistake but it doesn't seem like I have.

Bless you for only just coming to the JW party. It was made for a 2.00:1 aspect ratio so yes, it's between scope and 1.85 and you will have little black bars as a result.

This fits the commentary that Jurassic World is making.

Coolio, just wanted to make sure it was as intended as whilst everything looked fine framing wise it just seemed odd.

Any ideas why this was done? Was it just the sensor size so they did it for the largest possible image size in imax or similar?

And amusingly the I. rex is (mostly) a T. rex/raptor hybrid so in that sense it's really not that new.

They can't get rid of them...the audience is more attached to them than the human characters!

I dunno. I'd definitely place Bryce Dallas Howard up there as well.

I finally watched the 2D version, but still prefer the 3D version. Although most of the 3D effects are subtle, there are moments (when moving through the forest, the running dinosaur herds, the flying pterodactyls, etc.) when the movie attains an added "wow" level of realism. The special features were very good, although I was hoping for more that delved into the making of the movie.

The moment when
[Show spoiler]the boys jump off the waterfall before the I-Rex chomps them
up is a pants-wetter in 3D. Just an incredible moment that isn't quite as effective without the 3D.

not true, when Chris Pratt is on the screen I can't look at anything else. I think that is mainly why I didn't realize until this thread that the film's dino's were all CGI no live action animatronics at all.

Glad they went the film route on this one because it shows how much better something shot on film can still look in 2015.

My wife and I finally watched JW yesterday and the movie lived up to all my expectations and more. After the disaster that was JP III all is right again with me. T-rex is back on top where she belongs!!!!!

I've enjoyed the T-Rex and raptors in all 4 films but there are a wealth of creatures they can use more often going forward. I'm sure there are more people eating Dino's that can be utilized.

I would love a hard R Jurassic sequel (I know it will absolutely never happen but I can dream).

As much as I *love* the current movie series, I'd love to see hard-R remakes of the first two movies that hew closer to the novels. Maybe an HBO miniseries or something. COMPLETELY removed from the movies.

I'd be down for that as well. As long whoever makes it has this mentality:
