I have about 60 blu-ray movies, and 10 HD DVD movies, but I'm done buying HD DVDs. I wonder when would be a good time to sell off my HD DVD player and movies? Or maybe I'll try to trade my movies here. Hmmm.

i would sell the ones that are going to be on blu-ray and if you like any of your universal movies keep them until universal switches.

Default Almost

I'm almost BD only. I have 42 BD and only 1 HD-DVD movie (which came free with the add-on). I've only rented exclusives HD-DVD as I knew that long term they would come out on BD at which time I could buy them.

I got the add-on just to hold me on until the war was won by Blu-ray which I thought would take longer to be honest. The war isn't totally over yet; the fat lady hasn't sung yet but she is clearing her throat

I wouldn't wait too long, the HD DVD ship has been taking on water since it left port (they were doomed from the moment they couldn't get the studio support that BD has). But with all of the news recently, it seems that they're starting notice that the bow is coming dangerously close to dropping below the level of the water.

Trade/sell them while you can still get value for them. Universal will release their stuff on BD sooner or later.

I am strictly Blu Ray all the way, and my brother has the add on for his 360. I currently have about 19 titles with a ton more on the way. I'm really looking forward to this holiday season. I hope the LOTR rumors are true and they get released in November.

Default Loving The Blu Ray

I've been Blu Ray exclusive since I bought my PS3 in March and am loving every minute of it, the 60" Sony SXRD helps as well, I love that TV. I tell everyone I can about it and if they don't believe I just pop in a movie and watch their jaws drop. Let the good news keep on coming.
