I'd much prefer for them to release TCM 3 and 4, preferably as collectors editions (Yes, even the 4th lol) or as a double feature.

Im glad they're doing a CE for TCM2. Its my favorite in the series so id rather a SF release then the MGM release. TCM 3 & 4 I would've skipped altogether.

Anyone know anything about THE MANITOU. I know there's an HD master out there - Amazon Prime has it for free.

This again? This is another one of those "rumored" impending releases that have been stuck in "coming soon" mode for more than 5 years. I'll believe it when it's in my hands. Considering it's controlled by Lionsgate I won't hold my breath.

I fwd to the scenes I've explained earlier -

The drilling scene that starts right before the 42:00 you hear the drill and screams, but the camera only shows the young guy's feet, various stuff around the room, and then a static shot of the work bench until the dude puts the drill down. All the scenes with him puking, gagging, etc have been cut out.

It shows the puke on this face in scenes afterward for the next couple of minutes while the dude's talking away.

Then at 44:07, the dude bends over to slice the achilles tendinitis but the camera stays static. You hear the slice (but no visual) and the young guy screams in agony. At 44:18 you hear the other one sliced and again, the camera this time just stays on the young guy watching him wince in pain.

Then he's cut loose, the dude opens the door and says free to go. They do show the split of the achilles this time but very brief. You blink, you miss it. Then when the dude grabs him at the door and puts his knife to his throat, just when he's about to cut, you hear the noise but scene already cut out to his friend in the locked storage room.

edit: on the cover it says "Director's Cut" above 'Hostel' but when disc is loaded, you have a choice of either the first or part 2. When I click 'Hostel', there is nothing mentioned at all about a DC. Under 'Bonus', it's just the director's cut alternate ending. That's it. For setup, just a choice for SDH on or off. There is a scenes selection and then a choice for the other movie. That's it. No mention of DC except alternate ending. It's safe to say not the version on cover.

Some pics of my copy in next post.
I've got the Sony BD of Hostel, and it's exactly the same as the version you describe. I think you might just be mixed up--remembering things that were never there in the first place.

I know Hostel has a reputation for being really gory (torture porn! ), but that's all it is--a reputation.

Well if someone does not own a region free player TCM II from Scream will be appealing to them

I'd like to see Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures get a Special Edition. That's by far his best movie, not LOTR or Hobbits. His Middle Earth movies were plenty bloated. Time to bloat his killer lesbian movie with some killer special features! Bloat it PJ!

Exterminator 2

101 Films in the UK is releasing Exterminator 2 in March. Looks like an HD master exists. Would love a release from Scream.

Would love to see these two paired together in a double feature set!
