Default Forbidden Kingdom The right way for BD Sound

I haven't bought this title yet - but I will, now that I know it has dts-hd master 7.1. We get so few of these types of titles. From reviews that I've seen, its supposed to be a primer on BD sound done correctly (sound is said to be reference quality). Have any of you (with 7.1 systems) heard this film yet? I'm getting my copy this week!

I felt the video was extremly virbant and popped off the screen.
The sound was also done very well.

I also enjoyed the movie as well. I am very surprised this film didn't do that great at the box office as I thought it was very enjoyable.
It is mroe of a family oreintated movie, but I thought it fit in very well with the classical asian type movies.

He said that he would no longer be doing any of the chinese martial arts epic style films ala Once Upon a Time in China. I believe he is focusing on smaller roles that won't be as demanding and time consuming as those types of films.

I agree, I thought this movie was going to break some box office records because its the first time Jackie Chan and Jet Li are in the same movie!

Yep, I agree, I totally loved the film. I couldn't get any of my friends to go see it, but they loved 'Kung Fu Panda' -- go figure! I mean I liked 'Kung Fu Panda' too, but they'd rather see an animated chinese-themed movie, mostly voiced by white actors (with the exception of Lucy Liu), but none of them were interested in seeing Forbidden Kingdom.

Honestly I’m not surprise that this movie didn’t do that well at the box office, after watching the trailers my girlfriend and I both agree that this movie looks interesting but not interesting enough to see in the theater.

I brought it but: you might want to rent this one...they are some great shots and good sound. But like many Kung Fu movies a horrific plot...i have deep regrets that i brought this one. I will be leery of these kinds of movies in the future.

I would have to disagree. I thought this movie was well thought out, well planned and had a great plot. I guess you have to be into this genre of movie else you might not get it.

If you like the old KungFu movies as I di you will love Forbidden Kingdom. If you've never liked KungFu movies then you won't like it. Simple.

i liked kung fu panda much more than this movie in terms of plot. it would've been better if it were made for kung fu fans alone and not children. the director's past works says it all. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0591450/

this movie is like watching the chronicles of narnia when you are expecting the lord of the rings.

This movie sucked. The fights went no where and what was up with that silly monkey king stuff.... OY!

Also, the main kid actor, who wasn't even barely shown in the trailers(they made this movie look like it was something else)... he was brutal.

the SkyHigh kid does ruin the movie a bit, but the fight scene between Jet and Jackie is the best. The 7.1 really comes alive.

If the sound is reference quality - I'll buy it. I'm not a big PQ guy (I focus in on AQ) and as far as plot goes...Jet Li, Jackie Chan - Family film - good enough for me. I'm also a Kung Fu movie fan.
