Your RF-82s are comparable to the Polk RTiA7s.

And whichever you wish, honestly, I've never heard the RF-52s.

Very nice set up, and well done! A piece of advice though: you've made the same mistake as just about everyone else here with your L & R fronts. Get them away from the wall (at least a foot or so) and the sound will be much better. (If you have any left over, you could try putting some of the acoustic treatment foam on the wall behind them too.)

Enjoy!

I've tried that, but I don't have the living room size for that - they'd be smack in front of me almost if I moved them forward...overpowering the center so I have to turn up the dBs significantly.

And panels behind them? That I can do. I'm going to see how much I can move them up without making it look too awkward.

From a friend of mine who is in music production and had leftovers from setting up a small recording studio in his house - I will ask him where he got them from.

Next upgrades are a power conditioner - the APC H15 is looking very tantalizing. I'm also flirting with the idea of another Monitor 50 as a 6th channel.

And I keep putting off your recommendations, D-King, of getting rugs and carpets...delays, delays.

Girlfriend? I have no time for such commitments! And no wife until I finish graduate school, Besides, do you have any idea how much persuading I would've had to do to justify $4,000 in sonic improvements?! No, that's just got a good female friend of mine who volunteered to feed me whilst I set up my toys, lol. Her and another friend of mine have also agreed to do a little photo shoot on my new B&Ws... Of course I will show a few of the pics here when that happens!

Nope - it's a Big Lots brand! I don't even remember what it is, it was $115 a year ago when I bought it. It's sturdy - but I am unsure of the dimensions of the Onkyo or Elite. It holds the Marantz quite well, and being an open-air stand, keeps it from running too hot. Serves my purposes excellently! 4' wide by 18" deep.

And will do, Big papy. Do you need to buy some?
