The only ones I can think of that I've flipped are Hard to Be a God (I like the Arrow-commissioned art, but I prefer the classier version on the flipside) and Rollerball. Generally, I think the new art is pretty good and I base it on whether or not I genuinely can't bear to look at it. Looking at the art for What Have You Done to Solange?, I can guarantee that I'll be flipping that one.

The commissioned art for The Incredible Melting Man is the only one I use, always flip for the original cert free cover.

One can dream...

I promise that if Deep Red ever becomes highly sought after and I clear out my copy, the maximum I'd sell it for is £18. Isn't it better to give a fellow fan what they want rather than spend stupid money?
I am selling my still shrinkwrapped set to a fellow Aussie for what it cost me because they missed out and I have finally decided I really dont want no 3 at all and so will just grab the individual releases of the first two later on.

There wont be stand alone releases... they have done it as a new boxset (I think)

Never. Once they are crammed on the shelves, heaped on the floor you barely see the covers.

What I do do is swap the discs around inside the case so the BD is on the 'proper' spindle and not on the flappy bit.

I display my favourites on a small/thin Ikea shelf (for frames) that show off the artwork

Exactly how I feel about it. Regardless of whether I like the new artwork better or not (Fury) I flip to original artwork a) for the styles of the era b) to exclude those ugly BBFC certs.

The amaray spindles are a pain. I'm always leaving indentations on the back sleeve trying to get the disc out! I always have the blu-ray disc on the tray if I can.

I do put horror/sci-fi films in blue cases though. The 'Melting Man' cover looks a lot better this way

I do, but only when I prefer it to the newly commissioned one (which, to be honest, doesn't happen a lot).

Received the Yoshida set yesterday, ooh la la. Very nice booklet included. I kind of wish they went with something different for the reverse arts though.

There will be stand alone Hellraiser releases, but not for a while. Someone asked them directly on facebook if the new box set was limited and they said only by time, it'll be around until they release the single versions, probably in the summer.

Ah ok... what a waste of resources then... why don't they just hold off the new boxset then..

Does Hellraiser need 3 separate release? No.

The LE set + 3 stand alone releases would have been enough, I know people wanted a boxset and did miss the LE version but come on...

Here is my Arrow Amaray Art scorecard:

L'Assassino - old
Brute Force - new
The Conformist - old
The Hound of the Baskervilles - new
Lifeforce - new
The Naked City - old
The Night of the Hunter - new
Rififi - new
Salvatore Giuliano - new

So, 6-3 for the new school.

I have a problem.
I have purchased 12 Arrow titles in the last week.

How did I miss so many great horror / cult movies? Granted, some came out before I was born, but there's so many great films out there I had never heard of. My current Arrow wish list also consists of another 25 titles. Eek!

I was just thinking, the original Village Of The Dammed & Children Of The Dammed would make a great collection for Arrow to release?

There's nothing wrong with having another box set for those that missed the LE & want one. Fans of the series surly appreciate it. I for one will have both the LE & regular box set. It might also be cheaper to buy the set then buy the 3 movies separately.
