I really wish Disney would stop releasing the same titles over and over again and start to focus on their live action library now. Like where is the Honey I shrunk the Kids series and The Homeward Bound movies

Unfortunately Disney for some stupid reason has decided that all live action film blurays will only be released thru the Disney movie club barebones with no special features or digital copy!

If they didn't release them over and over again, then people that missed out the first time would never get it due to their stupid vault system.

True but if they were any other company except Disney the 2009 bluray would still be available to buy at best buy any time you wanted it for a cheap price of maximum 30 dollars. However since Disney is Disney they created the whole stupid vault system and by I think early 2011 maybe earlier the 09 bluray went out of print and now is only available on places like eBay for 131 dollars.

That's why I said "due to their stupid vault system"
I would have preferred if it never went OOP, then I could have picked this up three years ago when first requested; instead of having to hear someones mouth for these past three years about how much they want this darn thing. If only they said something four or five years ago when I could have gotten this for them. Disney caused me nothing but headaches for three years!

Signature Edition?

Guess they ran out of gems/metals.

Okay, so who wants to bet that this will be missing half of the special features from the Diamond Edition? Place your bets people!

Oh that's already correct and we all know it there's no way a 1disc bluray holds as much as a 2 disc bluray complete with tons of bd live bonus features. If we're lucky we will get a bluray with a fifth of the bonus features.

Or if they do release the same titles, release them in the right way, and not the same transfers over and over and over again..

Figures that they are releasing a new version now that I just found a used copy of the current oop edition a couple weeks ago. But if the new one's over $30 then I'm glad I found the old one.

I'm actually glad they're reissuing this one, as I didn't have a chance to pick up the OOP edition while it was out

With the term "Signature Edition" I'm hoping they could do something really nice, like extensive feature-length documentaries on the making of the film, and maybe really nice packaging like the Warner "Diamond Luxe" editions or digibooks with behind the scenes photos and artwork, but I doubt it. Probably follow the pattern of the Diamond Editions with nice transfers but only a few new family oriented extras and regular looking cases.

I'm perfectly happy with the '09 Diamond Edition BD. I'm sure that this release will have the exact same transfer, too, and nix most of the great older bonus features and replace them with unsubstantial new ones, which seems to be the trend nowadays.

I'm hoping with this line they get rid of all those stupid bonus features with the Disney Channel actors.

And I won't be happy until Pinocchio sees a Diamond/Signature release.

I think the best bets are it will either be a direct port of the Diamond Editions, except maybe just updated with new menus and artwork. Or it will be aimed at collectors and have scholarly material, which wouldn't be a bad idea. But I have a feeling that this line is just aimed at people who missed out on the Diamond Editions.
