Haha, the only win in 20-odd Monday night games for Sunderland was against...Palace. Add to that the worst away record in the EPL so far this season and I think you're nailed on for the win Steedy! I'm not taking the mickey either, whenever Palace come up against teams or players on terrible runs we always find a way to help them out.

I'd be worried with Zaha and Bolaise with O'Shea at LB saying that keep it tight you could hit them on the break, surprised Johnson didn't get a start.

And didn't I say that Sam would have them well drilled? The defending was superb, Sunderland fully deserved that. This is just the start, Steedy!

As for Palace, why Pards took off Punch for a clearly not fit Sako I don't quite understand, not that that lost us the game, but still. There's a reason why Palace have not had a league goal scored by a striker this season, the service that our fabled wingers dish up is terrible. They can run, they can dribble, they've got all the tricks but can they cross worth a damn? Can they bollocks.

I reckon we'll finish 10th or thereabouts, our away form is superb but - as with last season - the home form is mince.

I like O'Shea. We always seem to keep clean sheets when he plays lately.

Not sure if Johnsons head is right. With his trial getting closer, maybe it's all too much.

Can't believe it. Good tactics from Sam. Palace pressed but didn't create that many clear chances. Well, we have a glimmer of hope. If we can stay within 3-4 points of the pack until January I may even start to believe again!

Wickham won't help your cause Geoff. Heart the size of a pea in my opinion. Anyway, I would happily swap safety of mid table for where we are.
