The BDInfo scan for the Sony disc is online, while I just received my Australian BD from Fox today. More info on the Fox release is here.

The audio isn't being repeated, there are two main tracks on the criterion disc. When I watched it there was an intro or a blurb that said one was a special theatre original track and the other was a redesigned nearfield mix. I cannot really weigh in when it comes to the numbers as I am too much the dinosaur for that

Oh nevermind me, I thought we were talking about the Criterion disc and it looks like you two are talking about a different edition.

Have you seen a comparison between the two releases of The Quiet Man?

Removed the Naked Gun sequels as they are the same discs that were released in Europe.

I know that the Nordic releases aren't until January, but do we have a scan on this one? The Sony UK cover image says 7.1, but the actual Spain back cover (same disc, out since 11/18/15) says 5.1, and given that both the U.S. and Japanese are 5.1, coming from two companies that have done 7.1 before, I just want to be sure it is indeed 7.1 on the Sony BDs.

EDIT: Worth noting that the Sony has less extras than the US BD, too. It seems to be missing this featurette:

Quote:
A Side/B Side: Portraying the Life of Brian Wilson (1080p; 25:31) is a really good auxiliary piece to the film, offering good interviews and some archival footage of Brian.

The Scorpion King

The UK version seems to contain many special features.

As opposed to the US version, which only contains two.
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-S...ay/827/#Review

Both were released in 2008 by Universal, so I would assume they have identical Video and English Audio.

May I make a suggestion.. I know titles are only supposed to appear on the list if an international version is better than the US version but sometimes it's nice to have a resource that warns you about international versions.

I recently picked up the MI4K Hancock from Japan and was sad to see the black crush. I always consult the list before a purchase and didn't see it so I assume that it was equal or better to the US release. I saw that it was in the list at one point, but removed after being made aware of the black crush. I know it's my fault for not searching, but usually scan the main post for any issues.

On a related note, the MX editions of both the Interview and Fury use the international encode without black crush.
