Going to grab the 3D version from Best Buy when I get off this evening. Have $10 in certificates to go towards it plus they are the cheapest advertised it seems. Can't wait to view this for the first time

I put it in my cart and right as I was about to hit finalize the transaction it jumped to $24.99 and disappeared from this site at the same time. Luckily BB actually had copies and I also got Godzilla 3D with a slip for $12.99. So BB wins today.

And yesterday Amazon had that Fringe sale for two hours or whatever. I had to ***** and moan but got them to adjust the purchase price of $46.99 I paid 5 days earlier and poof it was gone immediately after I hung up with them. Thank you for the adjustment but what is up Amazon?
They got too big for their britches.
They strong-arm companies like Fox (this year) and Warner's (last year) they keep charging more and more for Prime.
They removed the price-tracker
They got rid of the "tell us about a lower price" button
They don't like to price match
They charge an exorbitant amount for their exclusives!
- Look at Agent Carter, Agents of Shield, Phase 2, Little House

Amazon needs to go away.

If you read my original post, you'd probably notice the surprise that I had, when I didn't see the code inside. I suppose I assumed it was in there.

No reason for the snarky reply, people make mistakes and I made one.

The lack of a mention of a DC on the top of the slipcover should have been your first clue.

And it was an honest question, as it never occurred to me that someone who's been here as long as you have would make an uninformed purchase and then whine incessantly about it here after the fact.

Why does Amazon need to go away? Why can't you just stop shopping there, if you don't like the way they conduct business? Wouldn't that be the mature way to handle the situation?

Just curious. Is everyone's copy factory shrink wrap or the other kind?

Who has "whined incessantly"? I made a post to let others know, if they didn't already, then I made a comment expressing my displeasure, another where I replied why I use iTunes DC's, then another where I thanked someone for clarifying the Marvel/Disney procedure. That was all I said until these last two snarky posts you've directed towards me, which again, I'm simply replying to.

The issue has been remedied, nobody is whining, and it's perfectly fine if they want to leave them out, I will pay closer attention next time, even if it's like today and I'm in a hurry.

People handling situations maturely? On the Internet? Come on. Let people complain about Amazon all they want. Just ignore them. They will still order from them. They just want you to know they don't like it because, what else do they have to do?

I agree. If anything, Amazon is competition for everyone else and if people stop buying certain products from them, on any sort of noticeable scale, they will pay attention and improve. I'm still incredibly pleased with Amazon, even if they've slipped a bit, here and there. They still, for the most part, have equal or better prices, fast, reliable shipping, and an excellent selection of BD's.

I bought the Ant-Man Blu-ray from Target on the way home from work.

I don't wish to own all of the Marvel films, but I do like to own all of the ones that progress the Captain America storyline.
(Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man)

I order from Amazon all the time. I'm a prime member (the 4 people I share it with split the cost with me; only costs me $25) and I've never had any issues with Amazon

Actually, I hate ordering from Best Buy (they screwed me over one too many times).

Never had a new Blu-ray release ship late either. They've always arrived on time; the day of release.

Quite the opposite with me.
Late, lost or damaged packages. Bad customer service. Had signed up for Student Prime for 1 year, they knocked it down to 6 months just after the 6 month mark. I emailed them my original reciept and they said that was an error, it should have only had been 6 months, even though they were advertising it for months as a year. This was back in 2011. Haven't ordered a thing from Amazon since. I did order 1 thing from Amazon Canada (Phase One set) and 2 things from Amazon UK (Game of Thrones Season 4 exclusive - lost, never got it, refused to replace it because it was limited and Interstellar DigiBook.)

It shouldn't have been a "surprise" if you paid attention to Marvel releases in the last couple of years. Every Marvel release since Thor:TDW (released the same day DMA launched in February 2014) has had DC codes only in the 3D edition. (They have separate DMA/DMR & DC+ redemptions, so you can get it in iTunes with or without DMA -- or possibly even in two different iTunes accounts.)

While mainline Disney got out of 3D altogether in the U.S. & Canada, apparently because Bob Iger thought combo packs with 3 or more discs were too expensive , Marvel kept the manufacturing costs of its 3D combos down by dropping the DVD & bonus BD. (Pixar ignored the memo, at least for Inside Out.)

Sir, I upgraded my TV to a 4K set that isn't 3D capable. Until a couple of months or so ago, I always bought the 3D releases, so it was a moot point. Another gentleman informed me of the Marvel/Disney method of digital copies, so I have it altogether now and in the future, if it's a particular film I am interested in, I will go ahead and buy the 3D version, but sell the disc.

Can we move on from this? As I said, things have been remedied, so it's no longer a concern.

I got my 3D copy from Amazon for $19.99 because I preordered it and got their lowest price from date of preorder guarantee. They had Ant-Man 3D for that price for a while a month or so ago. If you wanna buy your new releases through Amazon, that's really the way to go.

As for their lightning deals, you just gotta act fast. I don't really bother with those...

Picked up my slipcover copy from BB after work. It sure was nice not worrying about getting there early for a steelbook or hoping they would pull one for me with in-store pickup.

I'm wondering though why did Disney feel the need to put a critic's quote on the cover when they've never done that with Marvel films before. Did they think this one wouldn't sell? I also don't remember any "certified fresh" stickers on previous films but I could be mistaken. I thought Marvel had enough hype that they didn't need to "convince" people to buy their movies.

They may have been worried that people wouldn't think it has the same replay value as the more well-known titles, so even if people paid to see it in theaters, they may not necessarily buy the DVD/Blu-ray. It's not a huge surprise; frankly if it weren't for the Steelbook I wouldn't be rushing out to buy it day one either.

If you don't ever order anything from Amazon, why do you feel a need to consistently complain about them, and even say they need to go away?

There are plenty of us that like Amazon. I just got the Student Prime trial a few months ago, and it's been great so far. I've been able to get packages delivered in only two days, they've always been willing to price match from my experience, and they have a great selection.

You've complained that they increased Prime pricing, but they've also added in Prime video, Prime Music, and Kindle Library Lending, so it makes sense for them to raise the price if they're increasing what people get out of it.

There are always sites like Camel Camel Camel that price track Amazon. They only just got rid of the "Tell Us a Lower Price" button, and if you stopped shopping on Amazon back in 2011, that's not affecting you at all. I've had great luck emailing or chatting with them about price matching.

I get that you don't like their prices for exclusives, but that's usually what happens when a place gets an exclusive. They charge more for it, because they likely paid something to get the exclusive, and they're the only ones that have it. You can always import from the UK, can just buy it, or wait on the hope that it lowers, but constantly bringing it up isn't going to change anything.
