That's a cool graphic interface on that Sony Jason. Sometimes it doesn't need to have lots of options as long as it looks good and does what you need it to do. What i would really like is a receiver with a 3 knob 3 band eq configuration on it. I'm used to messing around with guitar amps, i guess i see things differently.

Damn, I can't even imagine what a setup like that sounds like. There are no audio stores around me. There's a Magnolia in the Best Buy here, but that's it. I just upgraded my surround sound setup a few months ago and then started reading about B&W. If you don't mind me asking, JJ, how much did those speakers cost? I've heard that the 802's sound tremendous. That's what I want to go for in my dream home theatre.

The best looking interface I have seen so far is definitely Denon's higher end A/V receivers.

I got mine from my father when he was up in Spain, gave it to me when I moved into this house.

The 683s, I paid $700 ea and the center, 400. Polks 150/ea. Ah, the 800 series! I won't be able to afford that for quite some time! Besides, I feel like my current setup will last me many many years, so I'm quite content!

...and I'm definitely on a mini-weekend getaway this weekend, and I find myself missing my toys! Look, Im on this forum now just to see pictures of them again,

Ok, I'm definitely about to splurge on 5-6 of these for my one bare-wall I have left.

That, and a Marantz, Martin Logan, Blu-ray, DTS...and one more I can't pick.

Very reliable! With paypal, too, you're covered - plus, the seller of that item has 100% 400+ feedback, you shouldn't have any problems. Dang. And I want that IKEA lighting strip to put behind my 683s. I gotta stop! Finish up acoustical treatments first. And all that good stuff. AAARGH. I knew I would never be done!

now I need signs.... .THANKS!!!

on a related note........ I have an EXIT sign that is from the 40's or maybe 50's, that my sister picked up for me (not sure where) about 15 years ago.... well... all this time I kept it, re-wired it (so it works with an on/off switch) and now I have a use for it.... it was a cool "desk lamp" in school, but now it's going to direct people to the way out of my theater..... I'll put a picture of that up in my build thread (to keep my audience rivetted )

edit..... picture will have to wait, the Wife took the camera with her to a wedding reception (that I talked my way out of!) I'll have to get a picture of that bull-fighting poster too!!!

802D's are $14,000. You can get them under 10K on Audiogon.

It's done - a B&W, Marantz, Martin Logan, Blu-ray, and the classic DTS sign - also having them make me a THX one, and I'll set them up in a 2 x 3 pattern on my left wall. Now thinking about cleverly placing yellow christmas tree lights under my couches for a bit of mood lighting!

...and I think your audience is more curious to know how you talked your way out of such a thing!

...dang, I love how we have such delusions of grandeur! I love this hobby!

As long as your paying with paypal you should be alright. Also, look at the seller rating and feedback. Can really tell a reliable seller by the buyer rating

You can have it on its little stand as a side of surround sound speaker or take it off and have it as a center. The sound is awesome.
