So let's talk technical, how is the PQ and the SQ?
How are people seeing it?
IMAX? Premium large format? Atmos?
Is it worth it for the one IMAX scene ?

Hilarious review by David Edelstein over at Vulture.

His commentary on the PT is LOL-worthy. But he also comments on how even if Lucas failed at making good films, he was doing something original and different.

Putting in spoiler tags just in case

[Show spoiler] Yes, it's the whole scene on Jakku with the TIE Fighters chasing the Falcon. It's about 10 mins, the only scene in the whole movie that opens up - but definitely worth it IMO

Saw it on IMAX twice today. Definitely worth it, the bigger screen makes a difference, even on the non-IMAX parts.

Planning to see it in Atmos this weekend to see if there's a difference. :-)

I don't wanna be THAT guy (and I'm probably gonna get skinned alive for saying this), but of the two big space operas of this year... I actually preferred Jupiter Ascending with just a slight edge. I feel both are terrific in their own unique ways, The Force Awakens really is the winner if you're just judging it by its crowd- and fan-pleasing factor, but Jupiter has the edge in that it actually tried to be something new while the more I reflect on The Force Awakens, the more I dislike that it took the safe route and shamelessly rehashed territory the series has already covered.
Strong 7/10 for me.

There was some very impressive subwoofer use. I always wish my local cinema was louder though

The non IMAX screen I am seeing it on tomorrow is wider than most real IMAX screens in the UK.
Did the IMAX scene make its worth known?

It's really up to you when you see it really but like this morning when I saw it, everyone literally said 'woah' when the next shot opened up to IMAX ratio

Not by me, Jupiter Ascending will be remembered (by me anyway) as the most unfairly maligned movie of 2015. The Force Awakens is, if the first couple of days are an indicator, going to be one of the most praised and beloved (which I'm happy about, we haven't had a universally liked Star Wars film since... the early '80s), it doesn't need to be loved by everyone. Besides, you weren't even very negative about it.

I completely agree as well.

What are the new estimates for this movie? I voted in another poll for an opening weekend of around $250 mil.

I went with big screen and atmos and a 1:30 drive over a 3 hour plus drive for IMAX
