I know your question isn't directed to me, but I'll throw in my 2 cents... it does make it easier for me to make a decision when I know price history. If I know it's a good deal (lower price than usual or lowest ever), I'm more likely to purchase vs. wait. Plus, it's nice to know the price history before setting a target price. If a title rarely/never goes on sale, I won't set my target price at 50% off and hope for an alert. If a title goes on sale every other month, I can set my target at that price and reasonably expect to hit it.
