Default Magnetic Strip on the Forbidden Kingdom disc

Got the forbidden kingdom BD today, opened the case and slided the disc into the PS3. Immediately I heard something funny on the drive and I quickly ejected it. I have never seen anything like this. The security magnetic strip was glued onto the bottom side of the BD.

Thank God it was easily removed and there is no damage to my PS3 and no scratches on the disc.

From where did you obtain this trojan horse of a disc?

It's a funny habit from DVD and CD, but everyone I know looks at the bottom of a disc before putting it in the player... as if checking for scratches.

I'm actually kind of surprised there's people who don't do that lol

Sounds like the strip might have become loose and ended up on the disc.
I am sure no one in their right mind would put it right there!

I too, always check the discs... this turned into somewhat of a habit, from letting my friends borrow DVDs and getting them back scratched up... no worries I do not let anyone take my movies any longer!

Do you throw your manhood into things without checking out the situation first?

I always check the disc for any scratches or dust before putting it into the player.

Yea really. I CK mine every time before I push play. I don't lend them out as often like I did before. I got tired of all the scratches and fingerprints.

Question is, how did the disc manage to go in with this heifer of a strip attached to the disc? Surprised it went in.

I have had a couple come loose and get stuck to the top side of the sic. Never the bottom though. I removed the damn things upon purchase. Hate having that stuff on my discs. I am also glad they stopped using the flat square stickers. Terrible to remove even if you can.

Your post makes NO sense. The strip is NEVER shrink wrapped. It's stuck to the INSIDE of the case, usually the space just above the disc.

So you don't order from Amazon because ... why again?

Movies being shiped in crushed yellow envelopes, and this, getting them from bestbuy, never have an issue

that assuming the disc is in a case that is shrink wraped, there should be nothing wrong with the disc

the strip is inside the case, which is shrink wraped.

i never said the strip was shrinkwraped

hmm... pay more for discs and have to deal with worstbuy staff or pay less and run the risk of the postal service damaging the package (which amazon will replace anyways) its an easy choice for most.... worstbuy is the walmart of the electronics world, and therefore not worth anyone's time going into the store.

this issue likely happened at the factory during packaging, not in amazon's warehouse.

What does shrink wrapping have to do with anything again? I have received 1 yellow envelope from Amazon. Not sure why my brand new movie came this way, but I think it has something to do with drop shipments. Every other movie has come in a cardboard box.

Never had an issue with them.
