Yeah, thumbs down for Panamint's cover art. They could've done much better. Oh well, it's the movie that counts.

Most of the 1950's 3D titles stereo sound tracks no longer exist. ICFOS and the surround track for House of Wax are the only ones that I know of. Bob might know of one or two other titles where the stereo sound tracks survived.

Reportedly, a stereo track also survives for two reels of Wings of the Hawk. For House of Wax, only the effects channel survives.

Hopefully that can be replicated quite easily in a 5.1 track.

A quick reply as I've just gotten back from a two week holiday and there's a lot of catching up to do.

Yes, we are involved. In fact, we're making it happen as there is currently no existing 3-D master. We had a VERY productive meeting at the studio a few weeks ago.

Thank you so much for making it happen! It Came From Outer Space was near the top of my vintage 3D wishlist. I can't wait to see the 3Dfilmarchive's optimized version.

Is there any chance of the Blu-ray 3D being region free?

Thanks!

Not very likely for a region free release at this time.

Great news Bob! Below are other Universal 3D titles. If you ever do another 3D Rarities Blu-ray, maybe you could ask them if you could include the 3D short for The Birds that was shown at the Universal Studios Florida Alfred Hitchcock: The Art of Making Movies attraction.

Wings of the Hawk
The Glass Web
Taza, Son of Cochise
Revenge of the Creature
Jaws 3-D
Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn

Dunno why that image doesn't display in your post, but with the eerie green heads that version is easily my favourite of the posters for this film.

I have a region-free player, but still wondering why Universal isn't doing a US release of this or at least allowing it to be all-region? All of the Blu-Ray discs they've put out themselves have been region-free so far.

Rather than releasing it themselves they have presumably licensed it on a Region B only basis to Panamint

Hi Mr. Furmanek, is there any possibility of Panamint including one of the (awesome) original posters on the reverse sleeve?

Default Off topic but where do you go on BD.com to sell BD and UV Codes?

I've been meaning to ask this question here for years. I have a seller's account on Amazon and eBay so that's probably why I never got around to it. I've never sold UV codes but want to join the party.

I'll certainly suggest it.

I'll also recommend a poster gallery as a supplement. There is a LOT of great artwork on this one.

They maybe just jumped the gun a bit and it went up too early, before it was supposed to be revealed.
