The Bandai Star Wars kits are much more complex and detailed than the Revell kits and they're made for an older audience than the Revell kits. While the Bandai kit parts have decent color separation straight of the box, they also need some detailing. Bandai provides stickers for the average joe and waterslide decals for advanced builders. The stickers are serviceable and easy to apply, but the downside is that the stickers have a visible clear outlining. The waterslide decals almost look like they're painted onto the kit once applied, but they're also very fragile and can get damaged by the slightest touch so you need to spray a clear varnish on top to protect the waterslide decal. The kits also come with a paint mixing guide for use with Gunze Sangyo paints, but it's in Japanese.

Here is a video showcasing the differences between the Revell, Fine Molds and Bandai Millennium Falcon:

And Resistance X-wing:

I don't know anything about UK customs law, but you can get the R2D2+BB8 set for £10 before shipping on Plamoya. That should probably be below the customs threshold. The Bandai kits are very affordable these days because of the low Japanese yen, but they're also harder to get because Disney banned the sales outside of Japan and many stores do not ship the kits outside of Japan anymore.

That Bandai Falcon/X Wing should have been reviewed against the level 2 Revell not level 1.

I got another SW treat today, the Deagostini 8" Boba Fett and Darth Maul.

I haven't seen any of the star wars films yet, but I have one of those unlimited cinema cards for cineworld. Could I see the force awakens and enjoy it?

Definitely, you'd probably enjoy it more if you had some knowledge of Star Wars but as it's as much a reboot as a sequel you'll be fine.

Please don't discuss those here, piracy in any form isn't allowed to be discussed as per the forum rules.

I prefer Poe's one as the white and blue looks bit plain.

Blufans have a release but I believe the steelbook is identical worldwide and it's just the slipcover that's exclusive to their release.

I haven't seen any other special editions so far. Was hoping for a UHDBD release but I doubt that's going to happen any time soon with how quiet Disney have been on the UHD front.
