At least the house looks authentically British as oppose to it being old and Victorian like most American's seem to believe London looks.

First half of the trailer was nice, should've just ended it there. I thought the first movie ended with a set up for Amityville, kinda would've liked to see Wan take that on.

Got an email from WB about the new trailer and gave it a watch. It was pretty good for the most part but I honestly doubt this will top the first. Just as long as Wan doesn't go Annabelle level on us.

Will it be Rated R like the 1st one? If its not rated R it wont make any money whatsoever.

Wasn't the first one supposed to be PG-13? Then it got hit with an R and the studio just left it alone.

I'm glad Farmiga and Wilson are returning to play these roles again but I'm so tired of the massive amount of ghost and exorcism films that have been released in the past 15 or so years.

SPOILER

The opening of this movie deals with the DeFeos who were the family in the Amityville house and were murdered by their son. So they are somehow connecting the end of the last movie with the beginning of this one. In real life the Warrens had never met the DeFeos, only the Lutzes, so obviously the movie is going to be taking some dramatic license with the story.

Looks spooky for the most part. I have a hard time believing that it will come close to the first, though.

Count me in regardless.

Wan is very derivative, but he is one of the best thieves currently working in Hollywood.

I'll check it out.

It doesn't have to be as good as the first, it just needs to be good in its own right. So far, it looks like Wan is delivering. That's a great teaser, and I'm excited to see what Wan has in store, he's probably the best current working horror director.

Well we've had an overabundance of zombie media, ghost media, exorcism media...

Looks like we're kind of going back to slasher horror?

Purge was something new and fresh. I'm looking forward to the next one. Love the tone of the Purge movies.

Yeah but how many of those have actually been Good? Cross off all those teeny-bopper 'Paranormal Activity' films that's for damn sure.

True, and authentic since the whole story took place in a council house (the downstairs set actually looked very similar to the one in the recent mini-series, which makes me think they must have recreated it from original photographs).

Not sure what was up with the girl's accent in the teaser, though...seemed a little off.
