I deleted it because I thought that some people might not appreciate seeing a conversation about the Mockingjay part 1 Blu-ray in the Mockingjay part 2 UHD Blu-ray thread. Stating that Lionsgate Blu-ray releases often have banding issues and UHD Blu-ray could improve this is one thing, but thought having a full discussion about it and posting images might be taking things a little off topic. I don't have an issue with it personally, I was just trying to be considerate and respectful to all members.

Yeah I know.

Don't know what's going on over at Lionsgate.

Lionsgate won't be announcing the UHD release with the regular Blu/DVD release. I've reached out to my contact at the studio about what's happening with this, so let's see wht they say...

Do you have any insight as to whether the (normal) BD will have an Atmos soundtrack? It will help decide whether I'll go ahead and get the BD or wait for the UHD (whenever that is).

ATMOS on all Blu editions, but no DTS Headphone X unlike Part 1.

Also - this while UHD deal is reason enough for them to wait to release a massive ultimate edition box set later on. They're holding back stuff from the MJ2 release for that reason.

Lionsgate is still showing its strong support of immersive audio with the confirmation that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Blu-ray will feature a Dolby Atmos soundtrack when released on March 22nd.

There is also confirmation in the press release that a UltraHD Blu-ray version is on its way, but its official date have not been confirmed yet. I am going to assume this will also have Atmos on it .

Cover for 'BLU-RAY + DVD + DIGITAL HD'.
