What are thoughts on the MediaBook editions for Death Wish 3 - 4 ? Or are the U.S. Blu rays fine in terms of video / audio quality.

I really want the media book for DW 5. I assume the hardcore fans already own it. Hoping Diabolik gets some stock of that title.

I´ve just ordered the Japanese blu-ray of "Adieu L´Ami"(Farewell Friend) with Bronson and Alain Delon.

The disc costs 35 euros+ 12 euros shipping+5 euros for taxes.

Makes 52 euros = 56 Dollars!!!!

I´m crazy to pay that amount of money for a blu-ray but as a Bronson "hardcore fan" I´ve got to

Today I´ve downloaded the ITunes Canada 1080p version of the Bronson/Anthony Perkins movie "Someone behind the door". The only ITunes Store who has the movie in HD. I was a little bit disappointed about the picture quality. Better than the DVD but far away from being great.

When I´ll get "Farewell Friend" next week, I´ll only need five Bronson films to complete my Bronson collection in 1080p. The rest is already out on blu-ray in the world or on the many ITunes Stores in 1080p.

a) St. Ives
b) The Evil that Men Do
c) Borderline
d) Love and Bullets
e) Cold Sweat

All the other movies are no Bronson movies or only TV movies like: Raid on Entebbe, Act of Vengeance, You can´t win ´em all", San Sebastian, Pancho Villa etc....

I´ve got a bad feeling that I can´t close that gap so fast because I don´t think that Warner Archives will release "St.Ives" in 2016 and Shout Factory announced that there´re no plans to release "Borderline+Love and Bullets" on blu-ray. Hell, they treat Bronson like garbage because Shout Factory released those two movies on DVD in 1,33:1 Fullscreen

And Hen´s Tooth won´t release "The Evil that Men Do" in 2016 either. I´ve had a conversation with them a couple of months ago on facebook and that was enough for me with that crappy company.

There´s a slight chance though that "Cold Sweat" will be released by Studio Canal in French or Japan.

I did that a few months ago, it was so much fun! The only downer was that DW5 is a real drag of a movie, I think next time I will just stop at DW4

I had a feeling DWII would be a candidate for a Shout Factory release.... both due to the content (and lack of uncut version in the North American market) and the fact the rights are owned by MGM

Too late, but thanks for the tip! I'd certainly triple-dip for your eventual release however. Take your time though, please - that way I'll feel less bummed about having just shelled out $40!

About a week too late to save those early adopters any cash, Cliff. Diabolik already sold those pre-orders for Death wish II imports a week ago. Now if by some small chance your releasing an edition of DW5 with extras in wide-screen, let us know now BEFORE we import from wherever if you're looking to do any customers a favor...

Already imported DW 2 also. great transfer didn't notice any compression issues. more than likely will IMPORT Death Wish V since there is no BLU in the US

If DW 2 has any good bonus features I may buy the US release when it happens.

I still need to buy 3,4 but if Shout releases those I will hold off.

Entitlement is it then? Just stating the obvious. He chimed in after ignoring these forums for ages about MAYBE holding off on an uncut release exactly a week after some very limited German release sold like hot cakes. Granted, it's maybe 30 or so people that jumped on that release from diabolik and whomever went to the trouble to order directly from that German site, I'm just stating the fact that popping up out of nowhere to hint at a possible NA release could have saved some people a few bucks if it were better timed.

Yep, no regrets about getting the German release here. I try to avoid SF as much as possible.
