Hey Crim,

Saw you in another thread. Welcome aboard the Blu wagon and the forum.

While we are discussing opinions here, I am like the others who thought Sunshine was a great film. It had an interesting premise that got me thinking, a very good look to it, a thriller type of atmosphere that gets more pronounced as it went on. I'm also starting to believe that Rose Byrne is a very good actress after seeing her in this film as well as the FX series "Damages" which is also available on Blu. I also thought Danny Boyle did a great job directing what had to have been one of his first if not his first Sci-Fi flick. He kept the tensions of a Shallow Grave or 28 Days Later type film and incorporated them into a Sci-Fi mission to the sun.

Good to see a new blu dude. I'm new to these forums as well. I'll discuss any film I've seen individually but any film that I think is horrific often get compared to 2003 Hulk, Indy Crystal Skull, Superman Returns, and the three most recent Star Wars films because they were just so bad. Just an FYI about me if you cared. One thing that is great about these forums though is that for every insult I can hurl at these films, there is someone else who liked them or even loved them and that diversity of opinion makes this site a daily visit for me.

I just got Sunshine for free with the weekend Amazon sale. I love this movie and glad to finally own the Blu-ray version for a decent price.

Wow so the dude goes out of his way to welcome you to the board, expresses WHY he likes something, and you quote him and call his opinion shit?

Hah, welcome the board, ya jerk.

Personally I love Sunshine. I don't care that others didn't. It's not a perfect movie, but I enjoy it, and that's all that needs to be said. The PQ and AQ are great, so if you like the movie it's a natural to pick up.
