Speed Racer Problems?! - Blu-ray Forum

I have the LG Super Blu and it will NOT load the Speed Racer dvd!! the firmware is now updated but it won't go past the loading phase.. Help!

how long does it load, or rather how long do u wait, there some blu rays that take a lot longer then usual to load. A lot of people had to wait a while, more then normal for transformers to load. Also did u try it on anther player or do u only got one player?

Oh yeah it never loads... I've left it on for a good 30 min. it does the little blue pink bar graph thing then a disc comes up spinning for about 30 seconds then screen goes black and nothing ever happens...
I don't have another blu-ray machine... so no I haven't been able to try it was thinking about taking it to best buy tomorrow see if they are willing to test it out for me all other movies are playing on it, but this is the newest release that's been in it for blu-ray, i'm at a loss.

Not to steal your help, but i have issues too, and i dont want to make a new thread. I just watched SR yesterday and i cannot see the extras. When i select them, the tv tries to switch(im guessing since is not HD) and i can hear the audio but no picture shows up. This is on my PS3, this is the only money that has done this. Anyone had any issues with SR extras??? Thanks.

P.S. What's the X for?

I watched the extras of Speed Racer last week on my PS3 60GB with no problems.

Your BD player may have a gag reflex. Upon insertion of a horrible film, it feels the urge to vomit.

thank god I think my sony is a slut and will accept anything into it's orifice.

I hear it might be averse to Iron Man...I just need to get it liquored up a bit before I jam the BD in

... I'd move forward with exchanging the disc.

Did you watch Speed Racer on Blu-ray? Imho it is the best Blu-ray Video quality available.

The movie itself took 15 minutes to get into but once you realize the bros. direction it flows well.

I watched it for the first time as a Netflix rental on my PS3 the other night and had no problems with the film or the extras. Loaded up relatively quickly especially compared to Transformers. I think the OP needs to exchange his disc.

I'd heard it was a crummy movie myself but despite my skepticism I actually liked it. No, it's not Citizen Kane but it's not utter shite like D-wars either. If you're just looking for visual eye candy to just kick back to and enjoy the ride and not have to worry about a complex plot or whatnot it delivers. It's like a really long live-action Saturday morning cartoon

But it IS a little TOO long, and I think Spritle should be keelhauled 'cause he's kind of annoying lol. Anyway, I enjoyed it enough to buy a copy myself.

I had no problem with the load, but thank God I rented the movie and not bought the movie.

Thanks for the response guys, the movie was not as bad as i thought, i give it a 7 out of 10. But it was a rental.
