The movie could have been improved with a couple changes. But they weren't willing to go in those directions. That's unfortunate. Interesting character arcs were abandoned, fascinating themes were never investigated. The entire film became about spectacle and only spectacle. To me, that's not enough. EDIT: Then again, looking at the writers' credits I'm not entirely surprised that they took the easy way out, and didn't really lay any foundation or do any investigating. |
