The two figures I have were both bought from Forbidden Planet and of course there are no bonus points scheme or an option to split payments into manageable amounts over a period of time.

But I wondered if you might get hit with an import fee that would push the price above what FP charge?

Thanks!
I order direct from Sideshow a lot, have been for nearly 10 years now. It doesn't always pay to go direct but you do get stuff a lot quicker as it can take retailers 6-8 weeks to get stock here in the UK.

Sideshow use Fedex to ship international order's, who then invoice you about a week after they deliver the item.

An example would be : Predator Masked Hunter Legendary Scale Bust. I paid $380 + $40 shipping from Sideshow for the exclusive. In total it cost me £285 + £56 import fee, Forbidden Planet have it on their site for £330.

Here's a quick phone pic of my New Hope/OT collection. All that's left for ANH is Leia.

All day long??? That's a batload of tumbling, if I do say so myself. Even if the two Batmen take turns, I bet that they would still have to rely quite heavily on those extremely versatile utility belts to keep her from getting bored.

Oh boy... as much as part of me can appreciate the challenge put forth with this statement, there is an equal (or possibly larger) part of me that is afraid of the outcome to said encouragement!

I am really flirting with the idea of getting Rey and BB8. As a first time buyer what do I need to know? If I wait too long will it go OOS and be difficult to find?

Yes. These are a one time production item. Once they sell out (at all retailers), Ebay is your only hope. And we all know how prices for any collectible get treated on Ebay.

Shop some of your local comic book stores first though. They may have access to and/or carry these.

Which would be the better Indiana Jones figure? Raiders of the Lost Ark or Temple of Doom? I love the RotLA one the best but ToD face sculpt looks better, methinks. Thoughts?

I agree. I have the Raiders DX01 (I think) and it looks awesome as a figure thanks to the apparel. Once you get close to look at the face though, it's a little weird. Temple Of Doom apparel is not flattering at all, but it looks great up close in the face sculpt.I'm happy with the Raiders figure though as 95% of people who actually look at it won't care enough to get that close to see the facial anamoly of the figure.

I'm toying with the idea of going for the Raiders figure and maybe down the line buying the ToD head. Or just pre-ordering the ToD figure and buying the Raiders jacket. Ugh, decisions.

Received my very first Hot Toys piece this week, the 1/4 scale Mk 43. An awesome piece & I'm loving it.
The RDJ portrait is just ridiculous & wipes the floor with Sideshow's Iron Man maquettes, which I won't be buying anymore of now due to Sideshow's price hikes & decline in quality over the last couple of years.

Will definitely be picking up the Hot Toys 1/4 scale Mk 42 once it goes up for order.

This is the biggest news for me since I started collecting -

These are from the Hot Toys 2016 Catalog that was just released in Hong Kong.

Alien Ripley 2.0 and Aliens Ripley with Powerloader 2.0
[Show spoiler]

and apparently a Big Chap 2.0 is coming as well.
