My dream offseason is Marshawn Lynch coming to the Cowboys. He's an old school RB that doesn't come around that often. I would like to see him play again if possible.

That's your dream offseason. Wow ok. Anyway not real big on backs with mileage like Lynch. He'd be a good Jerome Bettis 3rd down or goal line back but as far as every down back definitely not worth it especially if it's for big money.

I'd draft a rookie and bring in Lynch if he's cheap but he's proven he's not consistent in short yardage despite his bruising style.

I'd definitely bring in a RB if through the draft it's probably should be in the middle rounds and if through free agency it needs to be cheap. McFadden had a nice year but can't rely on him to play the majority of the season again.

As a Jets fan, I want EzE with pick 20 if he's there. I don't care if you don't draft a RB in rd 1. You do if you have an AP or a Gurley sitting there.

I wanna see DEN beat the Pats* then have Manning and DEN get crushed by ARZ in the SB so much so that Manning finally retires.

I can support this. I like Fitzgerald. I like Carson Palmer. I'm not mad that he's playing awesome now because we never gave him anything to work with in Oakland. No line, no running game, and no receivers.

Elliot is not an AP or Gurley.

Wouldn't even consider him until round 2. Plus, he's a bit of a head case.

Seems fitting if Brady gets his 5th ring in Super Bowl 50.

And in the stadium of the team he dreamed of playing for growing up, but which passed over Brady for Giovanni Carmazzi.

LOL at Zeke being a head case. Please because he called out his coaches he's all of sudden a head case. Wrong. Zeke is going in the first round and can be just as good as Gurley. You didn't see him run a lot at OSU or maybe you did and are just not well-informed so I'll help you out. The 3 straight games of over 200 in the conference championship and playoffs in 14 and over 200 against Michigan this year should tell you he's got the tools. He's good and he's going in the 1st round.

The NFL is discussing having multiple networks share the Thursday night games next season, and have a plan that seems like it would screw over the networks carrying the games:

Quote:
CBS and NBC are in the lead to reach an agreement with the NFL to share the Thursday night package of games, people familiar with the matter said.

Under the scenario being discussed, CBS and NBC would each carry five Thursday games this fall. The games would be simulcast on the league-owned NFL Network, which would carry the remaining Thursday night matchups exclusively. The price tag for the 10 games may be as much as $600 million, said a person familiar with the matter. This past fall, CBS paid $300 million for the rights to eight games.
Quote:
The NFL is attempting to throw its weight around by insisting on flexibility with how it divvies up the games between CBS and NBC, according to people familiar with the matter. Rather than have one network carry five games in a row followed by the other network, the NFL’s proposal has been to bounce the games back and forth between the two networks and the NFL Network. That approach would give the league more flexibility in scheduling high-profile games on its own network.

Those scenarios aren't being embraced by the networks because it would be difficult to promote a haphazard Thursday football schedule, as well as disrupt their ability to consistently schedule—and build a following for—other fall programming on the Thursday nights without a game. Constantly juggling shows on the schedule can confuse and frustrate viewers.

Those concerns aren't being heard by the NFL, one executive said. The league’s main push, besides maximum money, is continuing to build up the NFL Network. While viewers may be confused about which broadcaster is carrying the Thursday night game on any given week, it will always be on the NFL Network.

On the TNF that would also mean 18 games now since NFLN has to show 8 by themselves - sweet.

I take it you're an OSU fan? Lol no need to get so damn defensive.

He's not an AP or Gurley. Doesn't mean he won't be good. I think he will be, and I've watched him plenty of times. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the 1st at all. Just said I wouldn't do it. Just like I wouldn't take Henry in the 1st. Part is due to the way the NFL game has changed and part is due to the fact I think they are both way overhyped... especially Henry.

And yea... The way he called the coaches out was an extremely butthurt thing to do. Horrible attitude. Gonna have to change his attitude in the NFL.

Yes I am and yeah I'll get defensive especially when the crap you are spewing isn't true. Calling the guy a headcase isn't true. Do you want someone to characterize you as something you know you aren't and you would be ok with that? If you are then that's on you but I wouldn't be and I'm not in this situation.

I don't and you don't know if he's AP or Gurley. He might not be, he might be better let's wait and see before we make that judgment. And please get off Gurley's nutsack. He's played one year so far. Let's hold off on putting him in AP's category.

As for the coach situation, a lot of his teammates and coaches agreed with him, backed him. That was pretty obvious in the next two games when he got the ball twice as many times as he did in the MSU game in each of those games. He is a college kid let's cut him a little slack there and not be so harsh as to label him a head case because of that one incident. A head case at least to me is someone who teammates and coaches can't stand, gets in trouble on and off the field a lot. That's a head case. That kind of sounds like AP. Throwing your coaches under the bus and getting in trouble off the field. Being asked a question about why you didn't get the ball enough in the biggest game of the season and giving an honest assessment is not a head case.

Well, to be honest, I don't care how people characterize me... That's the world we live in these days. Gotta be able to deal with it when it comes your way. So if Elliot has haters, he can just use it as motivation.

I'm not at all hating on Elliot though. I like him more than Henry and think he's the #1 RB prospect this year and would love for the Titans to take him in the 2nd if he's there (depending on who else falls).

And I wasn't the one who used AP/Gurley as examples. I was responding to a post mentioning those two.

Gurley was the best RB prospect since AP. That's why he was used in the comparison. And no, I'm sorry, but Elliot is not the prospect Gurley was. Surely you can see that.

Also, using yards alone is not a good example. You have to be able to evaluate the player as a whole. Bishop Sankey led the NCAA in 2013. He sucks. Melvin Gordon dominated at Wisconsin. The verdict is still out on him, but he's looked pretty bad so far. Same reason big yards guys from the Big 10 like Montee Ball aren't even in the league anymore.

Elliot is a good looking back, but he doesn't have the same qualities as Gurley let alone Peterson. It's really unfair to him to put him on a level like that.
