Some small updates again for Saw. Found a BDinfo for what I think is the AT (austrian) SAW III disc since it's the 120min directors cut so the list will have this now as proof even if that comparison says HR audio only and VC-1.

Seems like the AT disc is now the one to own if you want the best Saw III director's cut version with more extras and 7.1

Disc Title: Saw III (2006)
Length: 2:00:42.235 (h:m:s.ms)
MPEG-4 AVC Video 25991 kbps

Audio:
DTS-HD Master Audio German 2996 kbps 7.1 / 16-bit
DTS-HD Master Audio English 2998 kbps 7.1 16-bit

Also made some additions for the FR discs 1-3 and 6 and NL disc 6 and AT disc 7.

Saw
FR - VC-1 1.85:1 24919 Mbps, DTS-HD MA 6.1 2291 kbps 16-bit, unrated director's cut @ 102m45s, no English subs (Region B locked)

Saw II
FR - VC-1 1.85:1 24848 Mbps, DTS-HD MA 6.1 2545 kbps 16-bit, unrated @ 94m42s, no English subs (Region B locked)

AT - AVC 1.85:1 25991 kbps, DTS-HD MA 7.1 2998 kbps 16-bit, director's cut @ 120m42s, some extras in SD, no English subs (region B locked) *Final Edition*
FR - VC-1 1.78:1 24896 kbps, DTS-HD MA 6.1 2639 Kbps 16-bit, director's cut @ 120m49s, extras in SD and forced french subs, no English subs (Region B locked)

And I don't like the directors cut version of III myself either, prefer Unrated.
Not wanting to swing as much as the JP discs ask for but wanting better discs I've decided to go in on the FR discs for V (US Amazon, $5) and VI (Amazon FR $12), and also 3 DC which came down to $12 as well splitting an order with the FR Sexy Dance Miami Heat 3D.

Too late to cancel and too much to return I guess I'll be stuck with US Saw IV, V and VI.

Lionsgate can seriously eat a dick for how much they've mishandled this franchise on Blu-ray.

I just put an order through for several items with dtm.at, and decided to add the Austrian set to the order, so we'll see

Cevolution for me:

This is why errors are found in the superior international BD list, when IMO there shouldn't be any really. I've bought several titles based on the info posted in the superior international BD thread which turned out to be incorrect (it isn't nice when this happens), with people posting specs that they can't confirm themselves I see why this has occurred. Often the source isn't even revealed to be able to determine credibility. Providing a link to the source would certainly help maintain a higher level of accuracy.

The Austrian Saw III specs that you posted the other day is good example of this .

So since I haven't bought the disc myself Cevolution suggest that everybody that don't buy their own discs and use BDinfo themself can stop posting here......

And here is my totally wrong info on Saw III austria that I'm 99% sure is AT and maybe 1% German.

Love how this stuff can make my day and really want me to contribute in the future...

I thought the AT listing under Saw III was the same as what you just posted above. I mean it looks right to me.

It was, I just edited it for space and got whacked for it for in many instances providing wrong info and not providing links.... (meaning you don't have to change anything on your part..)

Correction/update on UK and JP disc. JP also have best PQ!

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
UK - MPEG-2 21307 kbps, LPCM 5.1 4608 kbps 16-bit, theatrical cut, extras, English subs (Region free)
JP (Box Set) - AVC 27494 kbps, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 3657 kbps 24-bit, extended cut, extras, English subs (Region free) Best PQ

This should be on the list because of the 3D version not avaliable in US.

Resident Evil: Damnation
UK - (2D only) AVC, DTS-HD MA 5.1 (Region free)
EU - (2D only) AVC 28048 kbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 2298 kbps 16-bit, English subs
JP - (2D+3D) AVC 23973/MVC 12318 kbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 2298 kbps 16-bit, English subs

Not sure about what country the possible EU/CCE (central europe?) disc is from though? UK and EU "might" be same disc from Sony?

Perhaps you should have posted the follow up posts as well, instead of telling half the story:

That would make your contributions invalid since you don't own the discs and don't use bdinfo. Everyone can get things, others bdinfo posts don't mean anything hehe

I wasn't saying that your contributions haven't made a difference and are not valued, nor was I saying that you necessarily should own a release in all instances. What I said was that if you don't, you should at least have to provide the source, so that the membership can judge the credibility of the source before it goes on the list.

What has bothered me over the last few days, was the specs you posted for the Japanese Saw VI. You posted the wrong aspect ratio and audio track, not a huge deal, however, you appear to have simply assumed what they were, which is what I have a problem with. You shouldn't be doing that. You should want the list to be accurate, if you don't know what the specs are, keep them blank.

Anyway...

If you can't see my point, then I don't know what else to say, other than we will just leave it at this.

Edit: Btw, generally the contributions I make are from discs that I own. I had a BD drive for 5 years, up until a few months ago when I bought a new computer. I didn't like using it because my old computer would overheat all the time, and would get extremely hot. I will be purchasing an external one in the coming months, and when I do I will start to contribute BDinfo scans.

Childish it is, and yet you run to this thread to post about it, when it could have simply been left in the Australian thread where the discussion took place.

Why since "you" brought this thread up and the info on it and that people should provide proof otherwise keep away. I guess that might be interesting to the thread owner don't you think?

Considering that it is the truth, perhaps bringing it to his attention was a good idea. I'm sure he wants his thread to be of the highest standard, after all his credibility and reputation is linked to it. I have bought some titles based on the info in this thread which turned out to be inaccurate. Who knows, some of that poor info could of been provided by you, with you making up specs and all . Clearly you are OK with not always providing accurate specs...

The word truth wasn't used in context of that sentence which you are referring to. The truth, in relation to that sentence, is that you picked specs for the Japanese Saw VI out of thin air. If you had simply said between then and now, that you had made mistake, rather than trying to defend your action (you speak about age, this certainly reflects yours) then this conversation would already be over with. Like I said earlier, you making a mistake isn't a big deal, but you are refusing the acknowledge it, which I wouldn't be continuing to carrying on about had you not brought the topic up in this thread.

In my previous post, by truth, I meant that there is some inaccurate info which gets posted in this thread and added to the list, and unfortunately I have made some purchases where I have been stung by this.
