The Dorne storyline was lacking in certain respects, but it was a minor subplot in an otherwise stellar season. In many ways, it was my favorite (though you can't really beat Season 4).

The fact that they should have been winning the Emmy every other year as well doesn't take away from the fact that I think they absolutely deserved it for Season Five.

Interested to hear how much different atmos sounds on only a 5.1 system....someone said it should still sound a little better.

If anything, the opposite is true. You take a 5.1 or 7.1 and play it back on an Atmos system, some of the signal is going to wind up in the four height channels with their own amplifier channels. That's going to reduce overall distortion.

On the other hand, as with any mix-down, phasing artifacts can cause cancellations, but it all depends upon how the Dolby processing is handling the four extra channels when the speaker channels aren't there.

Season Five was easily my least favorite season so far.

I can't imagine anyone thinking it was better than 2, 3 or 4.

...but that's just me.

To each their own, of course.
