Default Sin City question(NOT ABOUT RELEASE DATE!!)

Which would be the better of the two to get you think? The Japanese one comes out in December and the Canadian one comes out in October and I'd prefer not to wait unless the Japanese one is markedly better of the two. Which would you recommend? And if I go with the Japanese one, how reliable is CDJapan?

Neither have been released yet. It's a bit early to start recommending one over the other, when we haven't seen either yet.

Why not just wait for the US release early next year? (assuming you are in the US)

The Japanese releases of some Disney films on DVD (Scream and Kill Bill for example) were the uncut versions. I would wait for more info on the Japanese version - it may come with the extended cut.

I'd just wait for the US version. Because that's what I'm doing. This is the blu-ray I've been waiting most for...

Just waiting to see what version/extras show up in Canada. I would think the US version would be a special edition, so if Canada gets a bare bones release, I'll hold off.

I don't care about features usually but on Sin City they would be amazing. The only way I am not buying Sin City is if it doesn't have a lossless track.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the Amazon.ca version of the BD. With no image there to back it up (especially this close to release) I certainly don't. There has been no official announcement or advertising for this Canadian release ANYWHERE that I have seen.

And, Amazon.ca is a Mickey Mouse of a sloppy operation compared to its international counterparts. They just don't put enough time and energy into it to make it trustworthy unless the item is officially available and in-stock.

I've ordered a ton of stuff from CDJapan.com and never had any problems with them. The shipping's been really fast and I also like that they package discs really well.

I would highly recommend using them.

I think theres a 95% chance of a lossless track. IF theres no lossless track, I'd say theres a 100% chance of a double dip.

i would think it will be more like a 99% chance Sin City will have a lossless audio track of at least Dolby TrueHD
