yes the pre-cut Theatrical 12a UK version is a PG-13 in the US
but it will still be the same pre-cut version

The 2 scenes mentioned in spoiler tags above were both present obviously, but I've no idea if they were reduced or not. I didn't notice anything amiss.

the BBFC would have to relist this as 15 which they haven't
so UK BD is 110% the pre-cut Theatrical version

the UK, US, German, Dutch BD's etc have same running times
so for me this is most likely the pre-cut 12a Theatrical version worldwide

Maybe your rental copy is the US version. Does it have the UK rating logos?

I've returned it now so I don't know for sure, but it would have to have the Irish and UK ratings to be released here.
