That could be a likely explanation.

Don't they usually make an announcement or something?

Maybe they just need to produce a new print run of them. I wouldn't consider it OOP unless Criterion actually says so and shows it as OOP on their website.

They have some other stuff like the Zatoichi set, and Hidden Fortress, that nobody thinks is OOP but those have been unavailable for awhile (and I guess Hidden Fortress is already confirmed as getting a blu-ray only release, instead of the existing combo pack).

Nobody really knows what the deal is with Zatoichi.

The Monkees complete TV series is being released by Warner on Blu with "Head" included. I think Criterion is losing the rights to "Head", which will likely make the box set go OOP. That's been the speculation for a while now.

Not yet "OOP", but Battles Without Honor and Humanity (LE of 2500 copies) is OOP per Arrow (their warehouse is sold out). There's still some stock at retailers like Amazon, but it is going fast. Amazon has been raising the price daily and their stock is probably minimal. Just a heads up...this is a terrific set, my favorite BD release of 2015 .

Bummer about the Criterion BBS Story set going OOP (not official yet I think but seems like it will be soon).

Not only one of my favorite Criterion releases, but one of my favorite BD releases period.

Hope people can find it if they still want it!

I wish I had deep pocketbooks to buy these box sets from Arrow .

I can confirm this. I got it as soon as Arrow announced it was OOP. I got it from Amazon for $94.89 on Feb 11, and it is currently $109.99.

I would caution against buying older Gaumont releases from France. I had their release of Leon (which wasn't cheap when it first came out) and it stopped playing. Ended up tossing it in the trash.

Protip: Anyone who's worried that Criterion's America Lost and Found: The BSS Story set is OOP and hasn't picked it up yet, Criterion.com will be having another 24-hour flash sale sometime in the last week of February or the first week of March, so that would be a good time to pick it up for 50% off MSRP (final price: $62.47). I imagine they'll still have stock at that time (it's only a week or two), but it might sell out during the sale.

That was already my thinking. I don't know why I don't have this set by now, but when I saw the rumors of going OOP it shot to the top of my list for the next flash sale.

Honestly, the essential films are now getting individual releases. Head will be part of that Warner set (apparantly). Even now, I still don't want it at full price. But as this is probably the last chance to get it for <$65 I really hope I can get in on that flash sale. If it's really going OOP it might be one of the first to sell out. Hopefully they still have a good number in their own warehouse to sell (i.e. so it makes it a few hours, if not the whole day).

Lot of work for you HD, I'm sorry but:

All the blu-rays from french company Emylia are OOP/discontinued. Company/label closed.
Some are still in stock (while supplies last) on Amazon but not for long.
The vast majority is sold out through Amazon and all the french stores.

The complete list of 118 titles can be found here: http://www.dvdfr.com/search/catalogu...=&r=disponible
(the ones on last page under the tagline "Prochainement" = "Forthcoming" - EXCEPT "7eventy 5ive" - never got released on Blu-ray, although they were announced, same goes for "Madness" and "Blood on the Highay" that never got released although they were announced by the company at some point)

Also, from Elephant Films in France :

- A Serbian Film Uncut Version is sold out

Same goes for
- Subconscious Cruelty

From DVision (Aventi was the distributor not the company that released them despite what the listings say on blu-ray.com) :

- Rammbock Berlin Undead

- Adieu Ma Concubine

- Épouses et Concubines

- The Children

Anyway, all the Aventi Blu-rays are OOP/discontinued too, so it's a LOT of work also to keep this list updated
That represents 51 new entries (list available here)

Not in this case. A Time to Kill is a Warner/Regency co-production, as was The Client. WB hangs onto those, so you won't see them at Fox.

Warner's Grisham 3 pack is still in print (also has Warner's Pelican Brief, which Regency had nothing to do with):

1 appears to still be in print. 2 and 3 are definitely OOP.

This shows as still available from Arrow's website. Limited to 2500 in the US and 2500 in the UK.

I am so glad I got this Harryhausen classic years ago, now it's OOP (since ~1 year), I hope they are working on a new 4k remaster and a re-release.

PS: Just checked, it's still in stock on amazon.com or in stock again? On amazon.de (european or german BD) it is sold out.

They still have the UK version in stock, not the US version.
