Content on the Target exclusive Iron Man? - Blu-ray Forum

Sorry to create another Iron Man thread but nobody seemed to be able to answer my question in several other threads.

The goofy target edition is listed as having exlusive bonus footage. Is this any different than any other stores. i.e. does this edition have something the other Blu's from say amazon or Best buy have besides rediculous packaging?

How does one know if this has the recalled disc or not? Personally I prefer the new disc from Paramount. Something tells me Target isn't going to be sending back all their exclusives for this movie!

BTW, the packaging is ridiculous IMHO!

I just got back from Target, there is no extra bonus footage, just the 2 bluray discs, but the mask packaging is pretty cool.

Picked upt he target blu-ray this morning. I like the uniqueness of the case. It really isn't too bad fi you like different and unusual things. I always try to find the unique version of dvd's when they came out, same with blu-ray.

My all time favortie is the transformer dvd case, that transfroms into optimus prime. that one is probably the coolest one around so far. Too bad they only had in on dvd and not blu-ray. But i had bought it because blu-ray wasn't out back then.

There is no exclusive footage on the BD...maybe the packaging but not the actual movie.

Will the Target edition with the fancy case sit on shelf with other BR discs? Ie is it standard height?

The case is in a clear plastic sleeve/box. I didn't line it up with a blu-ray case so I am not 100% sure if it is the same height or not. It is alot wider though. If no one answers this later on I will compare when i get home after work. If my memory serves me right though, the mask looked to be the same size as the DVD version of the mask case. So I think it is taller. But Again i can not confirm this till i get home. It would make sense though that target wouldn't make a different size mask case for the blue-ray one in order to get it into a smaller box.

It took 2-3 minutes for it to load. I also think they may have had a problem with these discs as well as the shrink wrap had a UPC code on it, that is different than what is on the cutout in the box that it covered up. Also my disc had a fingerprint on it. I have never seen this ever with a new disc. So i am thinking they may have removed the defective disc, put the newer working one in and then shrink wrapped it and put a new UPC code on it.

I was going to get the Target edition but my Target only got one copy on Blu and it was gone.

the box that the mask case comes in is about an inch taller than a normal bd case and it is much wider

Samething happened at my Target. The only had one and it was sold BUT I asked them to take a look in their storage area. They did and found boxes of them. They look just like the DVDs and thought there weren't any Blus.

You've got to be kidding. I stopped at Target this morning on my way to work and they had about 30 copies out and this is not a very busy store at that. I didn't want the mask version after seeing it. Well, I didn't want it before seeing it also.
