Played around the first few story bits.
I like the skill tree & hunting supplies you collect/loot for crafting. Reminds me of Dying Light with a dash of Tomb Raider in that aspect. You also have a weapon wheel. Ya gots a sixth sense (hunting) by holding R3. Not a fan of the color change though. Graphics look good so far especially on character animations during cutscenes. Game also loads super fast on my SSD though the game is only 12ishGB so it's probably quick no matter the drive. I wouldn't recommend this at full price though.. (In Canada anyway lol) |

I'll get over it. It was going along fine, a bit slow paced, but fine. Then I interacted with something and turned into a mammoth and had to fight waves of rhinos, and if you died, you had to start with the first wave. And mammoths apparently suck at fighting rhinos.

![]() I love the environments and I'm pretty impressed with the graphics mate, critics have complained that there isn't enough variety in the weapons but you got to remember that this game is based around the stone age and you have to make your own weapons as you go along. So overall I like the game lol it's different from all the other shooters out there so its a breath of fresh air to play something that doesn't have guns. I shall play a bit more this evening when the kids are in bed and I shall keep u informed about the game. ![]() Are you going to get the game now or will you wait until it comes down in price? |

To answer some other things.
As far as I can tell the world is fully open from the outset. But difficulty limits your advance. Your owl has limited range and a pretty long cooldown that you can bring down to 40 seconds with upgrades. I don't know why there are complaints about weapon varieties. You have clubs, two types, that can be thrown. Spears, that can be thrown. Two sizes of bows. All three can be used with fire. A sling. Bee bombs. Shards (throwing knives). Poison. Traps. An owl. A four legged companion that bites. And a ridden beast that is an effective tank. I guess if there are no guns, there is no variety. It interesting. I wonder if Ubisoft recognized that a lot of gamers were using animal baits to initiate stronghold attacks, as I was, leading to the idea to use tame animals as weapons instead of just baiting them. I have yet to use a bait for anything but taming an animal. |
