I played all of the Fox titles before ever connecting my player to the internet.

It skips frames. And the remote does not have separate buttons for chapter skip so to fast forward/rewind, the chapter skip buttons have to be held down. The k8500 has one of the crappiest remotes in recent memory.

I love the 1.5x forward on the PS3, as well.

If they stick a powerful enough processor and decoder in it there should be no reason they can't make a smooth fast forward, probably the reason PS3 could do it

Still no shipment of UHD from FoxConnect or Amazon yet - guessing theyll all come in next week.

Good to see you were able to get one, apologies for not replying to you sooner with more info yesterday, fell asleep after I got home.

You should pick up Kingsman, as well. My TV (sony x850c) only meets a fraction of the uhd premium spec but liked what I saw a lot nonetheless. (edit: let me know if you have any more questions I can try to answer)

Really looking forward to next week's UHD releases. Am looking to get Sicario, Mad Max, San Andreas, Expendables 3, and Last Witch Hunter. For Sicario and Last With Hunter in particular, there were a few scenes in the BD where I saw compression blocking and banding that I'd like to compare against the UHD version.

I was going to get Kingsman but then I decided against it and put it back. I wish now that I had though and I'll probably make a quick stop at Best Buy after work tomorrow to grab it and possibly another one. Looking forward to grabbing a few of the releases next week as well. Anyway I'm quite pleased by the way the Martian looks on my tv Well worth the money spent imo.

Nice, as long as you're happy with what you see, that's all that should really matter. If interested, I went into a little more detail regarding Kingsman and Martian here and here.

I went last night, they told me the stock was in and could be sold today.

Over on avs, a couple people have already been told by there locals that they can't sell them til March 1st. Sounds like another crapshoot.

Hmmm. I'm off tomorrow so I might stop by my local Best Buy (deptdord NJ) and check it out. Will post if they let me buy. Also I'd be willing to buy and ship to people at cost if they are selling them. For the impatient folks out there.

I got mine free with my JS8500. Tell you what, it's pretty cool for demo material, even given the lack of HDR content.

And it's basically a 1TB HDD, so...

The documentaries on it look SPECTACULAR.
