I read something at THR which mentioned that a full 40% was Alexa 65. One of thems is lying! You're right about the ASC article though, it clearly says "13%".

Oh well, scratch that from my large format UHD wish list then. Still, at least it actually got a 4K finish. Will wonders never cease?

Probably the title from this early batch I'm most excited about, honestly. It can't get here fast enough.

Hmmm, it's been available on memory-stick for awhile, but maybe it's getting a disc release? If in error, feel free to delete or I will edit.

College life

My claim to frat fame was that a couple years prior to like ‘D-Day’ doing it in Animal House, I rode my motorcycle (with style ) up the stairs to the second floor of the frat house.

For that matter, also helped create/found one of the earliest motocross clubs on a University campus (I didn’t study that hard back then, saved that for post grad). The only problem is that The University Yearbook people spelled the name WRONG as the caption should have read MOTOCROSS

Although, they somewhat redeemed themselves by having the very first page of our Yearbook being an artsy overhead shot as so….

Downrezing for the DCP encoding is unusual, but not unheard of…..

Upon completion of the grade, the colored 4K LogC DPX stream created was processed into two separate deliverables: the first an Ultra HD (3840x2160), ProRes, with Rec.709 color space; the second also Ultra HD (3840x2160), but with Rec.2020 color space, D65 white point, and PQ curve at 1000 nits. Monitoring was done via the Sony OLED BVM-X300 4K monitors at 1,000 nits.

I loved Sicario;however, I'm rooting for Chivo (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...o#post11886462)
at the Oscars.

My only frat experience has been sneaking into one's party and realizing I was way too sober to not be repulsed by the state of the kitchen...

Now that I think of it, I'm the first in my family's line of college grads to not have been in a frat... progress or lameness?

Yes the German 4K Memory Stick releases are getting UHD disc releases. There was an announcement and disc art in the last month or so.

Thanks for linking to that site. I saw a piece there on the BBC's War and Peace, which I've been looking to find some info about with no success until now. During the first few minutes of the show I was like "that's been shot anamorphic...but it's in 16:9. Huh?" and it's nice to have that confirmed, that they used anamorphic to get that softer classical "look" but didn't frame for the wider 2.35 aspect per se (I think someone said that True Detective did the same).

While not required I think this will be the reality with most if not all of Hollywood's releases. I think it will be VERY rare to see a release without HDR going forward.

So, thinking minds might ask….after capturing the imagery (sufficiently), what tools are used in the highest quality level Post?

Everything came in today at my store including X-Men and Maze Runner. Life of Pi is apparently still delayed. Everyone loves box shots so here we go:
