I've set up 2, one for my parents and one for my in-laws, my wife tried it out, but I'd say it's def. for chicks. Like most guys, I lift / workout at the gym.

See this is why Nintendo can't really compete. Not enough supply and demand. People still have a hard time getting Nintendo Wii's after how long?

fine Sherlock. I don't know how. I mean Wii Fits seem to be always sold out because stores only get 2 to 8 of them. When the Rock Band stuff came out the Wii version was at limited supply. So ok they're kicking butt in sales. But to me I don't know how because they're places here that can't get non of that stuff in. Circuit City gets 2 Wii Fits a week and 5 Wii's a week. Same with BB and Wal-Mart here

well basically here's how it works, Nintendo is a large corporation based abroad that wants to focus resources on R&D. They don't drop ship as they don't want to tie up resources doing so , so they hire a third party that acts on their behalf and distributes them across the US. They ship x amount of hardware to the distributor who in turn drop ships them to the various retail outlets with Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy and Game Stops getting the majority. The rest are divided up among smaller retailers and wholesalers.

Figure Wal-Mart has 4,227 stores, Target has 1,591 stores, Best Buy has 1150 stores , Circuit City has 850 stores and Game Stop has 5,264 stores.

This explains alot as to why Wal-mart and Game Stop can only get a limited per store quantity. Say for example, The US only got 500,000 wii fits for the May launch, take that and divide that amongst the buyers and divide that by stores(not all stores are equal, as WM, for example, ships more to larger volume stores than lower volume stores[common sense]Plus theres the population factor as NewYork City has more buyers than lets say Luray VA where the population is 4858 )
Take those stores plus TRus(585stores) and divide that by store count and thats only 36.58 per store, thats not factoring in the smaller retailers/wholesalers which got a percentage, so most likely a 30 per store count...

Now take that on a smaller scale with the weekly shipments and retailers like TRT saving them for ads weeks in advance and The online effect that leaves a very limited number of units actaully being shipped to the retail venues.

Then we have our weak US Dollar.........

I mean this can be analyzed deeper but the bottom line is they cant be produced fast enough to meet our demand, thus creating the shortage

Thats a pattern, Is there a BB nearby?? They are horrible as they use the online market to force you to buy this Wii Fit bundle with unneeded accessories. They make more that way and that cuts into store shipped stock

Yeah like a 4 min drive. They're right across the street from Circuit City.

Really I have 2 Gamestops, 1 EBgames, Target 2 Wal-Marts, K-Mart, CC, BB all in a 8 min drive from my house. They're all jumboed up except the 2nd Wal-Mart which is on the other side of me

I walked into a Gamestop once and saw a WiiFit on display. I said I'll take it and he said "I'm sorry, that's only part of a bundle that you have to buy."

I hate that. I know that they want to make money but the Wii is profitable to retailers by itself. I know Nintendo is making a killing.

Also, my WiiFit shipped today from BestBuy!

Then people think I'm crazy when I say it's a artificial shortage on Nintendo's end. I mean it's understandable when it was 1st released (which was just before the holiday season) and a few months aferwards but we are close to 2 years after it launched
