Since you guys are all fans of the movie, I thought you'd might like this. For the record, this is a new song that's meant to sound like it's from the 80's. It's part of an underground genre of music called "Newretrowave" that is chock full of 80's pop culture references. It's been around for about 8-10 years now and is starting to pick up steam. There are hundreds, if not thousands of indie musicians from all over the world that have embraced the 80's (similar to how in the 80's everyone was reminiscing about the 1950's) and are trying to bring it back through music.

No movie footage here, but this fine track is one that I remember from the movie soundtrack of Secret Admirer. It played a good bit on the radio for a month or two at the time.

If you have to get Three O Clock high, there is a German multi movie set that includes the film... Just don't be misled by the misleading cover art that has nothing to do with the actual film

I'd love Just One of the Guys to finally be released in proper format other than a full screen DVD, I've kept an HD recording of the film on my DVR for years

Just finished this, and man what a great re-watch!!

Have not seen this in 25+ years, but still it was like i saw it yesterday.

Had totally forgotten about the awesome Jan Hammer score though..

Never looked this good before either, highly recommended.

Yeah, it's been a while but I remember Jan Hammer created a cool, standout score for the film. Always loved his stuff since Miami Vice. Did he do any other film scores besides this and I Come in Peace aka Dark Angel?

This afternoon, I watched my Olive Films Blu-ray of Secret Admirer.

Michael, played by C. Thomas Howell (The Outsiders, The Hitcher) receives a letter from a secret admirer, and the inadvertent consequences ultimately turn the entire town upside down. Kelly Preston, who also starred in films like Christine, Mischief, and Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn, and who was the object of many of my mid-1980s crushes, plays a seemingly unattainable beauty who has caught Michael's eye. The lovely Lori Loughlin (Amityville 3-D, Full House TV series), plays Michael's best friend. Dee Wallace, who was one of the best MILFs of the 1980s in films like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Cujo, plays Michael's mom, while the always-great Fred Ward (The Right Stuff, Southern Comfort, Joe Dirt) plays one of the neighborhood parents. There are about a million other actors here whom I recognize from other 1980s flicks, including a young Corey Haim, but it would take me all day to mention all of them.

Secret Admirer was one of those good-natured 1980s teen comedies that skirted the edge of being risque, and, when I was a kid in middle school, these films were pretty much the equivalent of Citizen Kane. This one brings back some great memories.

The music score by Jan Hammer (Miami Vice TV series) is top-notch, especially during the final chase scene.

This Olive Films Blu-ray presentation is the best that this film has looked on home video, and, while it's not a sparkling 4K restoration, it does the job with little fanfare, but, more importantly, with no scrubbing or other digital tampering. The audio is quite good.

This is some agreeable 80s fluff; as someone who remembers the ubiquity of R-rated teen sex comedies from this period, it's amusing to revisit them once in a while and discover just how quaint and even ultimately sweet (if one can see past the raunch) a lot of them have become. Of course, our rather dim-bulb hero Howell can't see that the smarter, classier and arguably more beautiful Loughlin is the girl really worth going after until the end...and am I the only one who's never heard of a senior year happening on a boat?!? Is that a California thing?

Oh, and the terrific Fred Ward as Preston's volatile dad steals every damn scene he's in.

Both women are attractive-but I agree with you-Lori it is!
