Got my lenti in today, #1144, which was pretty quick after it got handed off to USPS. Anyways, I haven't opened it yet but I will say as far as the lenti goes, I would agree that it's probably not Kimchi's best (only comparison I have is Eternal Sunshine's transitional lenti), but I don't think it's terrible either.
There isn't much depth but with transitional lentis there tends not to be from what I've seen; depth is more for static images. The buildings and highways are pretty clear. The transition is ok as the Terminator head comes out pretty good though the fire for the eyes can be seen even in the clean city as well which hampers it. I don't know if direction can affect how good a lenticular comes out but this being a vertically transitioning one seemed unusual as most typically transition horizontally. Do I think it's the End All of Salvation lentis? No. Was this a missed opportunity to have such a lenti? Absolutely, the image itself is fantastic and was iconic in the marketing. Could FA and HDZeta put out better ones? Sure and I'll be interested to see in-hand vids of theirs. But at present I'm content with Kimchi's version ![]() |
