Mighty Ape NZ have a release date of 31st March for this. Thats 3 weeks away and it only just opened in Cinemas. Can this even be legit?

I really doubt it. My guess is that it'll be released around September. Hopefully it won't be an almost barebones release like the previous WDAS but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm thinking a end of June/early July release. Since it was released at the beginning of March, that would put it out about four months later which would be longer than The Good Dinosaur took, and around Star Wars: The Force Awakens' release schedule.

Disney has lately avoided releasing new movies on BD during the June/July timeframe for the last two years, even holding back Cinderella's release in the US till September. Although this year could be different, with three theatrical animation releases this year.

Hopefully I can see this in theaters before it hits blu. Great to see such positive reviews, completely unexpected.

I LOVED IT!

Saw it yesterday and it was SO GOOD.

Here's hoping that we'll get a 3D blu.

I wasn't thinking about that, but six months still seems like a long time, especially when they'll also have The Jungle Book, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Captain America: Civil War all coming out around the August/September/October period, with Finding Dory just around the corner too.
