Just a heads up for people after this title, the Canadian release that came in a regular case is still in stock on Amazon Canada. No idea if it will go OOP in time as well. I don't think the US got this simpler version but the disc is the same and there isn't any French on the front.

Your local Target may still have the double feature in stock. Check their website.

Thanks for the tip!

Made sure to get several of the recently OOP titles already in this thread.

I wasn't bothering with Ace Ventura since even Barnes and Nobel didn't have it, and they are usually my best bet for disappearing titles. But Target did indeed have it, or at least it is processing as a store pickup. I won't be able to actually do the pickup until Monday.

I got one processing right now too, although I'm dubious about it. I was in the store yesterday and didn't see it, so unless it was in the back, methinks the website hadn't updated stock levels and I'll get a refund and 'sorry' email.
Worth a try though, could work out.

EDIT
So I get an email saying change my delivery method. Can't pick up in store, but site says "in stock, purchase in store"??? Trying to call but it disconnects me each time I leave menu. Bout to roll up there and find what's what.

RE-EDIT
Did not have it at that store. Gave me list of other stores showing in stock and the closest one did have it, extra 10 miles but worth it. Even if your store shows in stock, I'd call to confirm as it was still showing in when they couldn't find it for me (they also said someone called earlier about it, so pick up the phone quick).

Ugh... I can't decide whether this thread is saving me money or costing me money. There's so many of these titles that I've waited to buy and once I see them pop up here I try to find a "reasonably" priced copy ASAP. Thanks HD Goofnut for this thread though!

As I stated a few pages back... this thread is usually not this active, however with the Morgan Creek license changing hands and multiple titles being affected it's caused for a bit of a surge in OOP discussion. It's rare for this thread to have so many titles actively go oop all at once. All we can do at the moment is scamble for the things we want and hope that things calm down again soon.

Better safe than sorry. If you like it, why take the chance? I would be grabbing a copy now myself if I didn't already have one.

My copy of The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue just shipped from Best Buy. $12.99 is a pretty good price.

Mine went through and says "ready for pickup". So I guess i got lucky on the 1st try, I've had that happen several times in the past though with store-pickup. I think with blu-rays they are too lazy to even bother looking sometimes (i.e. if they don't find it right away they just cancel it). I'm not just talking about Target, but all of them... Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc. Several times I've had items cancelled, then I go to the store anyway and it takes me like a minute to find it right where it should be. Sure there might be a "display" or something which requires a bit of a search, but it's sad that a customer can just walk in and find it and an employee can't be bothered.

If it shows in stock, most likely they have it. It's probably better to go in person than to call, and basically make them show you their inventory. I pretty much don't believe them unless I see that their internal device says 0. Though I can buy there might be a lag if someone is literally buying it right then and there, but if it's been showing in stock for days and you don't see it, they probably have it hidden in the back-room or just misplaced somewhere.

We don't want to create a panicky group of Amazon 1-click impulse buyers now would we?

I'll start with a title, the Matrix went OOP! Village Roadshow Pictures and Silver Pictures is ditching Warners! It's already marked up!
[Show spoiler] no source for that.

Thanks for the heads up. Got them to hold me a copy.

EDIT: And scratch that. Just got an email from the manager at my local target saying they were sorry they sent me a confirmation email, but it looks like they couldnt find it. They offered me a coupon for my trouble. Hope its a decent one. I was really excited that I scored a copy. Either way, it was cool of the manager to contact me directly like that. When does that ever happen? Oh, and does any idea why Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls went out of print? New distribution deal?

Funny, the girl at CS was showing me the screen that said they had one, but they couldn't find it in back and I couldn't find it on the floor. She then said when she gave me the list of others store, that often when it says they have 1, they really don't have any, and wished me luck. 3 of 4 stores showed 1 and the other said 2. She also said 2 is almost as bad as 1 for actually having it. Not sure about the other 3 stores since I got lucky with the first one. Dearborn Heights, MI. showed 2 if anyone reading is in that area.

Related to library sales, the Miramax library was sold a few days to beIN Media Group (parent company of Al Jazeera). This could create some out-of-print situations but seeing how beIN needs money (the Qatar oil economy has been down, leading beIN to close their Al Jazeera America division and some other divisions have likely been affected as well), I imagine Lionsgate will renew its agreement.

Amazon removed the Blu-ray listing for some reason, so if you try to buy it through Blue Underground, you'll end up at an empty/missing page. But BU's page makes no mention of it being out of print. That, and it's readily available at Best Buy, Walmart, Target and Barnes and Noble.

Posters should provide a source when posting out-of-print Blu-rays. Amazon de-listing an item doesn't mean it's out of print.

This x100! At the very least, people should check other sites besides amazon before posting. A good Rule of thumb is that if Amazon, Best Buy and Wal-mart have it de-listed or selling for goofy prices, it's OOP. However just because one site doesn't have it doesn't mean it's gone.
