8/10 I really like the Disney steelbooks and your scream factory selection. Could use more classic films and westerns.

Great collection! A ton of variety, and I see a lot of similar titles. Can't give it anything less than this.

A lot of classics, some not for me, but very nicely categorized 9/10!

A great balance of Blu's and DVDs. A comic fan...your collection gets an 8/10 from me (we require more Blu-rays!). I finally started doing some straightforward categorizing, but I'll need a little time to work up more specific ones.

7/10. Nice selection for its size. Could use more classic films imo but you're starting the collection off with a great start.

with all due respect, the guy's got both army of shadows and le cercle on criterion. AND the original eureka steel of metropolis... ALL THREE kimchi's of whiplash (I don't even have one =(...) AND a version of interstellar that I didnt even know about... He's also the only other person I've seen with the inception suitcase and Sony Picture Classics' A Prophet... + the steel for welles' touch of evil!?!

While I suppose one who has 213 seasons of tv could have cause to call a collection of a mere 400 titles small.. I just. out of the 400 he has, 90% are smashes IMHO.

Dude, I just... Berry's a miguel fan, you get an easy 10/10 from me. (unhealthy amount of fuzzball comedy aside) -salutes-

Now to address berry:

You've season 8 of dexter but not season 2 of TD or season 5 of Boardwalk.
You have Falling Skies and Farcry but not Fargo.
You also have all seasons of true blood...
You have all the purge films, both ghostrider films, all death races, but neither Se7en or Zodiac. (not to mention none of the rest of Fincher's catalogue, aside from Fightclub) --- seriously though, You have a category titled "why did i buy this sh!t?" with only the tourist??

Legitimately, being quite frank (underwood) right now... (where's that show, btw? you got time to watch Smallville and Gotham, but not House of Cards or Homeland?)

While Le_Sam (awesome username, btw) might only have 40% the quantity of your collection, he's got you absolutely trashed in terms of objective quality from where I'm sitting.

idk... just my opinion though. light 3 out of 10 for me -- Mad Men being your primary saving grace.

(Side note: I didn't look through his DVD collection as 1000 titles of 'rays was enough)

Sorry, Yakusa. I'd been typing this for awhile and wasn't able to post before you. =/ -looking through yours now-

Addressing Yakusa:

I can't really fault a guy for having more tarantino/ rodriguez than me. Also digging the amount of scream factory releases despite the general lack of entertainment I get from horror. =) generally solid stuff - light 8 to strong 7 out of 10. =) (also, really interesting east asian section -nods-)

You skipped yakuza.... So I'll rate him and you as well.

Yakuza: great selection of horror and I really dig the scream factory love 9/10

Pyro: you have a lot of great films but not much animation at all and you are lacking in horror and don't have too many classic or westerns... Also I'm not a fan of how you categorized your stuff by director but to each his own. Overall I would rate your collection a 7.5/10

The reason for skipping yakusa was that it took me a while to sift through everything, and then articulate thoughts. Trust that I did start typing before him. -nods-

Also, I totally hear you on the lack of classics/ westerns and animated films. I've had very limited funds for the majority of my life while collecting movies. I don't have everything I'd like yet. -nods- (I still haven't quite developed a taste for horror yet. It just doesn't hit me like quality drama does, but perhaps I've been misguided. Feel free to pm me some suggestions and I'll let you know what i think =).

Regarding your collection, I just... to the man who has everything, I don't know a way to improve it really. I hope to achieve that level someday.

solid 10/10.

Regarding the organization style, it's how I organize my films on my shelf. The same way I organize my vinyl collection. Artist and then chronologically, etc. I like that my categories match this approach. -nods-

Excellent collection. Spans many genres and decades. Little horror heavy for my personal tastes but that matters little. You should check out some foreign language films as there's really a lot of great stuff to be found. I like it man!
